GOGO

Hello I ve been playing over the UKS with a couple of the girlies from the Gogo greetings thread. We ve decided to hold a mini CC with a few challenges. So I ve had a bash and I m still doing it but I ve decided to upload some cards, the first one was a sketch set by Jenny I ve used the septembers GOGO kit wich included some gorgeous papers from Paper Salon( I love this manufacturer and is something a bit diferent as is not widely available in the UK). I dont know why the little girl s cheeks are brown cos IRL they are certainly not.

While I m on septembers kit I m gonna post some of my DT projects I did wich I just adore, you know when something just works the first time? Well this kit did for me, I m normally a very slow crafter but had no probs. this time.

Isnt it just gorgeous? I m never confident about my work but I do love how this ended up. The kit included this fab stamp wich I ve used for the wrapping paper and then used to make my own background wich I ve used for the card and the tag.

This was a simple one, loved the paisley paper but was just a bit too busy for me so I ve cut out a few elements and used them this way.

Next was a man card. And was made with pink papers..shock... well not so shocking as now is quite the norm for guys to wear pink shirts or ties, paired it with some dark layers and masculine stipes with the sentiment from that fab stamp. I have to say this was my very first kit as a DT member and I loved it but boy oh boy the ones to follow are just as fabulos, I ve just received novembers and all I can say is just lush. Can t wait to break into it lol

Back to the mini CC I ve got one more card to show you and is a shaped one I ve designed for the mini CC, I ve used Crate Papers and some basic instructions can be found here

I ll be back with some more hopefully very soon. See ya

catching up

Hiya well inspite all my best intentions on blogging a bit more often it seems that about one a week is all I ve got time for boohoo. So when my good friend Claudia said put some more stuff on your blog I knew I was behind .. again, so Clau here it is darling I m blogging!! lol.

My fellow DT colleague Patsy has been feeling under the wheater lately( but she found out not long ago that she s expecting her second bundle of joy!! YAY!! I m sooo excited for her) and she set a fab challenge on her blog (open for weeks right?? ) to make a GETT WELL SOON card, I really wanted to enter it, but like alaways things happen and life gets in the way. Anyway I ve made her a card FINALLY (the challenge is long gone and a very talented girl won the candy, it was Tracy so well done to you babe your card was fabaroonie)

So PATSY if you re reading THIS ONE IS FOR YOU hun! Hope you ll start to feel much better soon. ((HUGS))

I ve used this absolutely gorgeous stamp by a company called IMAGINA, the stamp itself is a clear one but is already mounted on a odd looking acrylic block with a sort of a handle never actually seen one before, papers are by Dovecraft I thought they really matched the image well, and ever since I ve seen the pin in the sept GOGO kit I wanted to make my own ones for cards and I managed to get some pins at Ally Pally onto wich I simply threaded some beads, nice accent methinks. Grosgrain ribbon and a papertray sentiment.

Next card I m gonna show you is a super quick male one and I just love how it took me about 20 min. I kid you not here it is

Used papers from the retro stack at DCWV, a sentiment and I ve cut the *son* with my expression, a few brads a chipboard star some ribbon and... VOILA!! a man card. I was quite chuffed with this, not for the amount of skill needed but for the speed this took to be made.Right then you know I told you I m hosting a card swap? Well I ve been trying to come up with a design that s easily replicated cos I ve got to make 22 of them( eyes rolling here) but I didn t wanted a really plain card that took not time at all or there was no other technique on it other than sticking some cardstock to the card base. So because of a major cockup with a delivery from the states my Christmas Cheer cart hasn t arrived yet, so had to think of something else. I ve started by making this little prototype

Papers from the last years Christmas stack DCWV, a gorgeous stamp that I ve used as background wich I ve gllittered, cut the scalloped edge with the Expression as well as the word and handcut some holly and textured it using a QZ gossebump. Pretty simple but the colour scheme makes it a really eye catching card, not that you can see the colours really as I ve taken this quite late at night.Right so this was one on the maybe list but since then I ve had another go and I think I ve finally setlled on one of the next ones.

BUT I cannot decide on wich one I much prefer one of them and my DH likes the other so please could you care to leave me a message and help me choose? I will explain those cards, I ve started with a card base in a neutral colour I then embossed a rectangle of dark chocolate brown card with the CB snowflake folder and mated the brown onto some white card. I then took a sheet of transparency and stamped my chosen image in white added some Hero Arts tiny snowflakes around the frame. My swap says the cards have to be glitzy so with this in mind I proceeded to add some gorgeousness in the shape of ultra fine Art Institute supa glittering and glistening glitter. The sentiment on the first card is by Papertray and the tree in the second is by SU.All that remains for me to say is thank you soo much for all your lovely comments, and I m sorry to dissapoint when you pop over and there s no new stuff. I ll get better one day... hopefully
Right then see ya

CC madness

Hiya, well is been busy here like usual, but lately I ve delved into the Cybercrop over on UKS. I m gonna post some cards first I ve doen this for a family member whos birthday treat was a pampering day at a SPA in Leeds so I ve made her this cardI ve used BG papers, stamp is from MFT, and the ribbon is from Jody for when she did another share back in june.

Right then the first of the three weeks of CC madness has started this last friday and have to say the classes so far have been great!! Well for me anyway cos I m not such an experienced scrapper. I really wanted to do one class tho and that was a fab birthday book taught by Theresa. I am hopeless at remembering people s birthdays so hopefully this book is gonna save my bacon for years to come.

I ve used some wallpaper from for my cover as I thought it would be a bit more hardwearing, and I went to town with the inside decoration is soo sparkly and glitzy and OTT. feminine just like ME. LOL

Then the next class was a card taught by the fabulos Nicole Heady from the Papertray Ink and it taught the rock n roll technique, no way was I gonna miss oin this one so I was still awake at 2.44 am sunday morning completing it. Anyway here s Nicole class and here s my interpretation of it

I ve used my favorite set from Nicole s collection is called *buterfly kisses*, I ve used faux stitching as my sewing machine didn t want to play I think it might need servicing. a little bit of hardware with some BG velvet rick rack and some stripey ribbon.

Then the next class that appealed to me was a Lo and you can find it here. I love dthis and decided to use some of the very few pictures of Luca, top one is as he took his first breath of fresh air and bottom one is a day old.

I really like how this turned out I ve used some Dream Street papers and various scraps of others cherry Arte stamps and my much loved Expression for the title.

My 3 rd class I ve done was a record speed for me as it only took me 45 min., it was this class here and this is my example

Got loads more to put up but will have to do it over the course of the week.

See ya all !!

Meeting LUCA

Hello to everybody that reads this poorly updated blog!!! first of all let me start by apologising for my long absence but I've got a good reason I'm telling you.

My very first nephew LUCA SORIN ILEA was born a month early Saturday 22 September at 9.19 am weighing a tiny 2.600kg (about 5lbs 12) and I was there to witness it all.
All I can say is WOW!!! it was deffinately the most amazing experience of my life ever!! Hard work like, but boy oh boy!!worth every second of it.

He is a tiny little thing but strong, coped well on his own but unfortunately he developed jaundice so he is still in hospital catching a sun tan, bless LOL.
He looks incrediblly like both his parents already, he has Laura's small face and features and his dad's eyes and mouth, he also got loads of dark hair that goes curly when wet (dad and mum both have dark hair) and he's got daddy's long fingers and toes wich pleases us lots because both my sister and I suffer from the short and chubby fingers syndrome.
Here it is a day old and I just adore him!!  I fell in love the very first second I lay my eyes on him.
Isn't he just the cutest???? my heart melts every time I see him!! Of course I have made him a card it was in a rush though and not the original one I had in mind because  I am still waiting for the Zoobaloo cricut cart to come, and he was not suppose to come till a month later, so had to really rush one but I was pleased with how it turned out in the end.

And the box it was presented in.

Ended up in London again this weekend to see Luca, and yesterday after checking out from the hotel we were staying I ve asked DH to plan the journey to Alexandra Palace on his Scott Scott, and surprinsingly we were only 20 min away. Needless to say we took a detour and I only had an hour but boy oh boy I ve managed to spend quite a bit(mind you that s never a problem)

Thank you all for visiting and most importantly for taking time to leave me comments, I really apreciate them all. See ya mwah!!!
