LAST CHANCE

Hello ooh I am having so much fun with little Luca. We are just getting ready to flea the house to some animal farm but I wanted to quickly remind you that today is THE LAST DAY to take advantage of the SALE A BRATION promotion. For every £45 spent you get one FREE stamp set.

This beautiful card was made by the lovely Joanne, she choose to case one of my display board samples but changed the colours to her favourite of Sage Shadow and Pale Plum, with the added black it makes for a stylish combo.
And Carol choose to replicate another of my samples she cut parts of the cake from the Happy Moments set to make a taller cake.

And I found THIS stunning card on Liz's blog. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw it, my favourite birdcage image coupled with the beautiful Baroque Motifs just how well they work together? I absolutely love it Liz.
I need to dash now I wish you a nice relaxed Sunday see you tomorrow with a brand new PROMOTION. Hugs xxx

Vintage Greenhouse Garden

Hi there, there is a growing trend in the cardmaking world towards the vintage style which is absolutely gorgeous. I have to admit at finding it a bit out of my comfort zone but I am the kind of crafter that likes to push herself so I will start to try and incorporate more vintage in my work. Vintage is all to do with layering and incorporating fun techniques like splattering tearing, crumpling etc. Of course it should also have girly elements like pearls and lace. So I decided to try my hand at it and made mum's card for Mother's Day. Here is my effort

I have used the Greenhouse Garden again, I just can't help it those flowers are beautiful and lots of you think that as I have sold 18 sets this month, (my target is 20, so hopefully will achieve that). Now for the background I have used the Paisely stamped in More Mustard over Confetti card stock and En Francaise big background stamped in Creamy Caramel and over that I have used the big flourish from Baroque Motifs in Mellow Moss ink. It all came together very quick, it was so much fun to keep stamping on top of other backgrounds, but I didn't stop there I added a lot of splattering on top for good measure and some tearing. I love the end result. The Mellow Moss layer had the sentiment stamped on and the whole piece was splattered and torn. The flowers stamped in Bashful Blue and Brocade Blue were decoupaged and arranged on the front and the whole piece was added to a Chocolate Chip base. Bashful taffeta and Mellow Moss taffeta were the ribbons used and of course flat pearls and crystal beads were added from the Pretties kit. I hope mum will love it as she likes flowers so I cannot wait to see what she makes of it.
Oh and I want to show you something else today you know I told you I went shopping for me on Sunday? Well I didn't buy much apart from this

I went to buy some clothes and ended up buying a travel bag ?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't resist it though how gorgeous is it? By Ted Baker bought it in Boots and I simply adore it. I didn't need a new one but it screamed BUY ME so I did. Of course I had to have the matching little purse as well, click on the picture to make it bigger the colours are just gorgeous.
Right I am off, my sis is coming with little Luca today for a long weekend and I cannot wait I am counting the minutes away. I have plans of getting him to stamp for the first time....aaaaaahhhh.

I simply adore this paper which surprised me really as I am BRIGHT COLOURS type of girl, it is so beautiful and stylish. I love using it. Nouveaux Chic is called and the matching colours are Sage Shadow and Apricot Appeal. I decorated the outside with two paper pleated half opened blooms I thought they were in keeping with the look of the papers. And of Course my fave background stamp made an appearance the fab Medallion. Here's a view of the inside a pocket for each month plus a perpetual calendar that you can use again and again. Mine is already filled and being used . Here s a view of the inside.

And a view of the wording, I used the Just perfect Alpha( I think i am getting as bad as Julie with this set LOL) but it is such a useful one and crystal effects to add some dimension, they turned out fab. Here s a closer view

Birthday Passionette...........

and HAPPY LOVE DAY!!!!
Aww, I hope you got up to a sweet surprise from your love this morning. As this is a scheduled post I can't tell you what I got but rest assured I will let you know, my hubs is always so attentive.
Today is Sharni's Happy Birthday over at Valentines. I always think at how lovely it is for her to celebrate her birthday on V day. Sharni loves the colour Yellow and last year I made her a very muted card on a So Saffron base, but this year I thought of stepping out of my comfort zone and work with a much brighter yellow, I decided on the Summer Sun.
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
Funnily enough yellow was my absolute fave colour as a teenager and I was going to carry yellow roses in my bouquet on my wedding day, well I didn't!! just like I didn't went on to marry George Michael LOL. I was devastated the day he came out bless. The stamp Baroque background is one I had since it first come ( Oct.2009) out and I never used ir, or maybe only once. I can't remember but what I know for sure is that is just beautiful to work with. I paired my bright but warm yellow with Rose Red and I let the stamp do the talking . My sentiment from the Sincere Salutations was framed with a stamp form the Frame with a Flourish a few flat backed pearls from the pretties kit and I was good to go. I really like this cheery card I hope Sharni does to. And Sharni HAPPY BIRTHDAY my love I hope you will have a fabulous day.
Here a little surprise I made for hubs.

I demonstrated this technique at our team meeting this last week as well as SWUS Online, and we all made a door hanger treat holder for our men, mine is holding some chocolate covered Brazil nuts his faves.
Here is my simple card to match the holder and you see that frilly heart? I will show you in a video tomorrow just how I made it .
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
Colours I have used are More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Bravo Burgundy, stamps are Just Perfect Alphabet and I cut the *WITH AL MY** words out from the Basic Phrases set. I knew there was a reason why I bought all those stamps so that I can make my own custom message one Valentine Day *wink*
Here s a close up to the holder as well

Enjoy your Valentine's Day big hugs xxx
ETA.
I popped the holder on the bathroom door's handle hoping he will find it. Guess what? he got up walked in, did his morning routine got dressed and out he came. NEVER SEEN IT !!! When I asked if he had seen it he replied
OF COURSE I'D SEEN IT, I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR PROJECTS LAYING ABOUT THE HOUSE .... LOL
Do you think romance is dead?
I woke up to a lovely bouquet of white lilies a handcrafted card and LUNCH in about half an hour. see you tomorrow xx

A Good Egg

Hello how's things? I am suffering badly with a nasty, nasty cold but you know what? so is just about every one I know, time of the year I suppose but I do long for warmer weather now we had enough of a bad winter.
We're in full swing over at Stamp With Us and my second project was an Easter based ensemble.
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
How cute is this stamp set? I love it and I cannot stop using it. I also love this cute lil box that I designed to hold 3 of these smaller choc. eggs. The place cards have been made using the bigger stamp from the set, they were watercoloured then a thin layer of crystal effects was applied on top then dazzling diamonds were sprinkled all over.
Here s a photo of the card
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
So cute huh? The colours used are Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana. How gorgeous is that brocade ribbon?
I have an update on the Greenhouse Garden stamps, I have already hit my target in fact I smashed it I sold 12 sets so far and we're not even half way through the month can WE make it 20???????? I am so excited you all get to add a stunning set of stamps to your collection and you're helping out those that so desperately need it. THANK YOU !!
Big hugs xx

Sticky Cuts

Hellooooo. Did you have a great weekend? I did and I even managed to get some crafting done like uninterrupted crafting, it was HEAVEN.
I have a few things to share, and they based on a fabulous product called Sticky Cuts.
Those are 12" x 12"sheets of die cut shapes and words that are self sticky on both sides enabling you to add some extra texture or bling to your projects, they are lovely.
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
I have used one of the larger motifs from the pack, this glorious looking tree and added glitter to it. They couldn't be easier to use, you peel off the backing attach to your project then peel off the top and add gently rub glitter into it. You could use it with flock, or coffee grains or anything with a bit of texture to it. Simple, really simple but with real impact. The background was stamped using the Just Perfect alphabet in Versamark and only one word was clear embossed *winter*
This picture was taken back home In Romania, we were visiting Dracula's Castle that day and it was freezing -20Celsius worth of freezing, but it was a really bright day with lots of sunshine. My hubby took this picture and I like it.
Colours used Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and More Mustard, the journalling and tiny bird detail was stamped using the Live Your Dream stamp set.
Now the beauty of those sticky cuts is that you don't waste an inch. Every bit can be used and I have used the waste from this tree to make a sparkly background for my next project.

How fun!!! I love Elegant Eggplant and there is a purple in the Cosmo ultra fine glitter collection that looks wonderful with this colour. I paired with Taken with Teal , is a perfect marriage.
Have a good week everyone, see you again soon. Hugs xxx

Stampin'Up! Whimsical Wings

Hello how are you? We have SNOW covered everything once again!! The roads are so bad I did my fab impression of a sledge coming home from work tonight and I was not that impressed. I don't think it will last long this time but I am still not impressed LOL>
Well before I show you what I have made recently let me just say what a wonderful response I had to my Haiti appeal, I am delighted to have sold 5 sets already, thank you so much to those that ordered I am hopeful that I will reach my goal of selling 10 in the month of February and raising some much needed funds. THANK YOU !!
I have managed to grab some time making a card the other day, I think I have just about caught up with everything including the ironing pile so hopefully I will have a bit more ME time. Working and running your own business can be challenging but I am getting better at managing my time so that helps. Ok so here s my latest masterpiece LOL
Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
Now as you might have noticed I don't use a great deal of patterned paper on my projects, that's because I am a stamper at heart and I am content using my stamps to create backgrounds. But I DO love pretty paper and I think maybe that's part of the problem, I am not using it much cos I don't like cutting into it. Anyway I took a deep breath and used a .......tiny strip of Nouveau Chic. Seriously I fell in love with this, at first I thought they were a bit morbid looking( well you know me and my love of bright colours) but as soon as I clapped eyes on them IRL I was hooked. Very pretty. The colours used are Sage Shadow, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip. I really like how this turned out, the image from the level 2 hostess set Whimsical Wings was stamped using markers but not by myself, it was stamped by Jane one of my friend and customers at my house late last year and she left it with me asking if I could turn it into a card . Well Jane I finally got round to use it, I hope you like it. Right better go to bed now as is nearly midnight, big hugs see you again soon xxx

Hello and Happy Monday, have you had a great weekend? I am just about there catching up with everything after taking a week off, and SWUS has started!! YAY!! We had a fabulous launch party last night and I missed having my crafty friends all in one place at the same time. Like always we had a blast.
It was my turn to post the first class and here it is

Now I was soo happy when I saw Stampin'Up! choose Greenhouse garden as their set to help Haiti people because at the time I designed this class there was no Earthquake. So I was delighted and here's the deal, if you read my previous post you will know I have set myself a challenge to sell at least 10 of those sets, if I do I am giving away to one lucky winner a £25 voucher to spend as they wish in the Stampin'Up! catalogue, well let me sweeten the deal even more EVERYONE purchasing this set from me in February will get this class absolutely free straight to their inbox. I have sold 2 sets already, would you help me get to 10?
This stylish tote will hold 8 of the cards shown(2 of each design)but the tote would also make a wonderful gift bag as is quite big and sturdy.
The colours used in this class are Sage Shadow, Apricot Appeal and Bashful Blue. The cards are based on a one sheet wonder and all the centres of the flowers have crystal effect and dazzling diamonds added for extra sparkle.
Is not to late to join us at SWUS we 're having a good ole time. Come and stamp with us all for the next two weeks, you will love it. Hugs xxx
