BIRTHDAY celebration..... little Luca this time round

Hello there how are you all? I find myself busier and busier this time of the year is like everything happens at once.
But this last weekend I stepped off the treadmill to enjoy a very special Celebration. Luca's 3rd Birthday.

It seems only 2 minutes since he was this size (Check this link out MEETING LUCA ) . How time flies
His bash went extremely well, mum and dad hired the biggest bouncy castle money could hire, it was enormous and yes I was there with them trying it out LOL.
On Saturday we prepared a delicious home made buffet and finished his cake which had to have a digger, a tipper truck and a mixer on. It nearly killed me LOL as my cake decorating skills are not as good any more deffo rusty as I do not get enough practice now a days.
Shocking photo because as per usual I forgot to take any pictures ahead of time so I had to rush and put up with terrible light. I used bits of chocolate cake to make the mud from.

There was music and lots of dancing ( how cute is this?)

They were performing a dance routine where they had to pretend to be asleep, and because they all attend the same dance group everyone knew the whole routine it was so sweet to see them all.
He had 11 friends there and is safe to say that they will have all slept very well that night, I cannot believe the amount of energy they have, I was rather envious of it actually I could do with a bit more energy myself at times LOL.

FAVOURITE present?

Some chocolate shaped cars from Thornton's LOL. I know what you're thinking.

OUR FAVOURITE present

This cute pirate outfit...sooo sweet I can't help but smile when I see him in this photo.

And my fave picture I just love the happiness on his face.

The card I made is one shared with you before but here it is in case you missed it.

Thank you for visiting me and don't forget to come and see me tomorrow bright and early for the reveal of the NEW BIG BOOK !!!
I am sooo excited !!!!
Till then Big hugs xxx

Birthday Passionette...........

Woohoooo !! Is time for another CELEBRATION. Anne one of my much appreciated Passionettes is celebrating her HAPPY BIRTHDAY today (I love to say that in spite of hubby correcting me all the time, you cannot say it like that he says!! LOL)
Anne is a really lovely lady that I admire, she has been through quite a bit over the last few years but she stayed positive and came at the other end. A fighter and I like that in people.
Her favourite colour is TEAL so i had to use some Taken With Teal in her card. I will need to have words with Anne and a few other Passionettes about this Teal for next year LOL

Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake (woohoo) So Saffron and Taken with Teal and a bit of olive for the leaves. Vintage Vogue set and I stamped and layered three of the main flower heads.
The little leaves I stamped in threes and cut around them leaving some extra card to add glue to and stick behind the flowers.
Here s a close up

I added some flat pearls in the centres as well. The Crumb Cake background was stamped with the Baroque motifs swirl in chocolate chip ink.
Stripy So Saffron ribbon and a sentiment banner completes the elegant look. I really like how it turned out.
Anne I hope you will have a fabulous Birthday and you get spoilt rotten.

Right I am off as I have 1 millioooooooon of things to do before I meet up with lots of my wonderful Passionettes and fellow demos in Manchester tonight for a Regional Training. I cannot wait I love those fabulous girls !!!!

Till next time BIG CRAFTY HUGS !!! xx

Kraft or crumb cake Vintage Vogue

Hi there, how are you all, looking forward to the weekend? guess what? is only around the corner again.
I am such a DODO as this post was supposed to be up there yesterday and it was only this morning I realised I added my dates wrong.
Oh well here's the card I am sharing today.
Now you know I adore Kraft card stock but what I cannot get use to is calling it Crumb Cake I guess it will take me a while.
I arrived to this combination by pure coincidence but I just LOVE IT. I was starting our with Bravo Burgundy, Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake ( I wanted to type Kraft again). But on my desk I had some Taken with teal stamped flowers left from a card I made for a special downline of mine ( will show you her card tomorrow). And when I added it to my colours it just POP-ed. I liked it and I stuck with it.
What do you think?
I have used the smaller DOT DOT DOT background and Craft ink in Whisper White to add the subtle background and a few elements from the Vintage Vogue stamp set stamped in either Bravo or Teal.
The frame from Frames with a Flourish was the perfect size for my sentiment from the Sincere salutations set and Bravo grosgrain ribbon finished off my simple creation.
Hope you like it right I better get to work.
BTW if you purchased a catalogue from me it was posted on Tuesday, hope you have got in touch with your bank manager since.
Till next time Hugs xxx

Birthday Cheer and Wishes

Hello there hope you are well and I hope you enjoyed a relaxing weekend. let me see what I did?I spent the whole Sunday in my pj's stamping !!
Well all those new goodies were crying out for some attention and I did just that, showed them some LOVE. Shame I cannot show you any of it yet but hey not long now....
So while searching my photo folders for something new to show you I came across this set I taught at the last Stamp With us Retreat earlier this year.

Everyone got this set on the day and this was one of the classes we used it for. It is the perfect stamp set because it has a selection of sentiments as well as a stamp for every occasion. I love how the images fit inside the 1 3/8" circle punch making stamping sweet accents a breeze.
The colours are bright and breezy, I love my bright colours.
Real Red, Certainly Celery and Tempting Turquoise. Guess what NONE of this colours are retiring yipeeeee.

Card number 1, how sweet is that sentiment? with the birdie perched on it?

Card number 2, masking technique lovely way to say thank you to a loved one.
Card number 3 , Stamp on and off and the rock and roll techniques using the same colour ink pad for a vibrant and playful look.
And here's a look at the fabulous charm made with punches and the lovely images in this set and some accents from the pretties kit which is a incredible £11.63 WOW!! that is such good value as you get loads of pearls and beads plus those fabulous hat pins just GORGEOUS!!!.

This set appeals to me because I love the bright colours but it could easily be just as gorgeous in softer more subtle shades. I think is probably the most versatile set out there on the retiring list and is ONLY £11.48 ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!
Also the matching circle punch the 1 3/8" is only £9.38. Hmm think Christmas presents for your crafty friends, I have already did some of my Christmas shopping I know I will be glad I did come December.

I also wanted to tell you about the NEW CLUBS. With the arrival of every  new catalogue comes a very LONG wish list and believe me when I tell you this new book IS FAB-U-LOUS.
I now have OPEN places for VIRTUAL CLUBS starting in October and we are not due to place our first orders until the end of the month so you can treat yourself off the retired list now and recover a bit financially before you need to decide what will you choose first, also by then the mad initial rush will be  over.

Birthday Passionette........... and MORE REDUCED LAST CHANCE LIST

Hello there is Carole's  Happy Day today !!! Carole is one of my original Passionettes and I love her dearly like I love all my girlies in my team.
She likes RED just like myself so this time for her card I settled on a combination of Crumb Cake , Real Red and Basic Black. I have also use the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set, I like this pretty set and it has the added bonus of a matching punch, speedy crafting I LOVE even better.

Such elegant and striking combo. I have stamped the elegant Bella Toile background onto the Crumb Cake using Whisper White ink, then stamped and punched/cut  the flutters. The sentiment is soo sweet  it says ** Hope your Day is as happy as it gets** and Carole I hope your day is just that.
I added a few clear rhinestones from my stash here n there but you can't see them really well as the light was so bright that day very sunny for a change.
The black gingham ribbon was folded to create a double bow and secured in the centre using a black brad threaded through the button first. Glue dots were used to attach it to the card ( I LOVE GLUE DOTS!!)
Carole hope you liked your goodies and I wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Hugs xx

Birthday Passionette!!!

Hello there, how are you?
Time has run away with me this week and I never had the chance to post about Jayne's Special Day yesterday so here I am a day late.
Jayne loves hot pink and I love this combo.
I have managed to have a play with a very cool new tool that will help with your cardmaking  tremendously, but of course I cannot reveal anything until the 1st October. I found about this clovely ombo and I had to try it out.
Old Olive, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray, gorgeous colours together and so grown up. I have used the Greenhouse Garden stamp set to stamp and cut out the blooms and the extra Large bird punch to punch out a few branches from Basic Gray card. The lovely sentiment is from the Happy Everything now this is a set is retiring at the end of Septemeber so if you want it please get in touch and order it.  Is a shame is going as is a lovely set so very useful for card making as well as scrapbooking.
I punched a small circle of Olive card for the centre of each flowers and topped it with a flat pearl.
The top part of the card blank was stamped with the new polka dot  background.
Here s a close up where you can see what I mean about the centres
<>
I love those flowers aren't they sweet? and that little bit of green in the centre just sets things off.
Jayne I hope you had a wonderful birthday full of nice surprises BIG HUGS and lots of love.
I will see you with more tomorrow as I have another Passionette celebrating her Birthday.
Till next time Hugs xxx

AND I LIVED TO TELL THE TALE ..............

Well hello there !! Jeez what a fabby few days I just had, and boy oh boy do I know I have 2 legs. The experience was such a positive one we talked with so many people over the last 2 days spreading the word and promoting Stampin'Up!
I met and hugged fellow demonstrators, I met some of my lovely and loyal customers (waves to both  glamorous Cath's and gorgeous Mariana and Kathy C.)  I met old friends and made new ones.
I got to squeeze the gorgeous Ellie and her fabby Mummy THE KIRSTY WISEMAN, we met with people who knew who Stampin'Up! was and squealed with delight when they saw us there ( they know you see).
We met excited customers saying WE ARE CONVERTS!! (so funny) who already had a demonstrator service them, and demos I am afraid I am a bit guilty of sending your existing customers that visited our stand into a bit of a frenzy over the new catalogue, I hope they will take my advice and get in touch to book their parties.
And everyone that visited our stand was amazed by the displays, one word you could hear loud and clear from most of them was
I LOVE THE COLOUR!!
And that was music to our ears because that's what we are all about at Stampin'Up!,  COLOUR the fabulous colour coordination across our range.
The stand was hard work to put together and we were the last ones to leave inspite of not having any stock to put out, you could spot we were newbies from a mile, everyone looked so efficient and prepared with stands and displays while me and Jo messed about with sticky strip and safety pins to create something remotely acceptable.LOL
It took us 2 1/2 hours to get the basic structure right after moving it around 3 times (even thought I had made a clear plan ahead of time where things would go), well my excuse was that it didn't work in situ and it had to be changed so we changed it, THREE TIMES heee hee.
We were pleased with the results in the end thank God as the security guy was getting very impatient in the end.

We had a ton of samples on display, and 3 boxes plus one stand didn't even make it. People loved admiring the projects and taking lots of photos. Most of the projects were ones I created myself but the vast majority were lovelies made by my talented team, and fellow demonstrators so I hope you will get to spot some of your own work displayed on the video later on.

I need to mention Fiona Duthie and thank her publicly for her amazing paper wreath (above photo) she made for me, Fiona everyone LOVED IT !!! thank you so much.
Now I would have not been able to do any of this without my fabulous team of Passionettes. And while a few of them are not official Passionettes yet, they are in my eyes until their starter kits arrive, I LOVED working with you girls what a great bunch of ladies!!
So HUGE thanks for their tremendous help goes to
Joanne Press
Jane Bisby
Alison Wilkins
Kim Nolan

Thank you so much girlies for all your help what a team we are !!!!
Here's me, Jo and Kim on Sunday, unfortunately I left my camera at home Saturday and I haven't got pictures of Jane and Alison but you can see them both briefly at the beginning of the video.
We did 150 FREE  makes n takes over the two days and Ali and Kim were both our demos extraordinaries, everyone loved the TREE TRIMMINGS set and loved the SMAJ even more.
I will leave you with a tour of our stand, you will have to excuse the poor video skills I was trying to get it done before the doors opened and everyone started pouring in.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who visited our booth this last weekend, thank you for the lovely comments and compliments, Caroline THANK YOU for the chocolates (that was so very kind of you).
I enjoyed meeting every single one of you, and I hope to see/hear from you soon.
Now Enjoy the tour of our booth and till next time BIG HUGS> I think I am going back to bed now LOL xxx

Mr and Mrs Retired Showcase...

Hello there, Gordon Bennett I don't think I could maintain this pace for longer than a week. I am however seeing the light apart from cutting 100 make n takes blanks wrong.
I wouldn't believe it but I did, I scored all my card and cut it into 100 card blanks only to discover when I finished it all that they are the wrong orientation. OMG I could have quite easily cry but I am a big girl and I didn't... see I knew you'd be proud snif, snif.(wink)
So now I am eagerly awaiting some more card from my lovely team and other kind fellow demos so that I can hopefully get them right this time round, and preferable before the show starts.

Stampin'Up! True Friend is retiring

Hello there, well what do you think of the retired list? You are all sending in your orders for those goodies you cannot live without, keep them coming and don't delay once the items are gone that is it, no more ever!!
One of the sets retiring is the True Friend stamp set, and while I love the new stuff coming, I will always hold special few in my heart and put it this way, I know this set will stay with me forever he is not getting sold EVER!! I simply adore the sentiment and so happens that I had to make some cards for 2 very special friends so I set to work.
Lovely autumnal colourways although I am not ready to store my Summer shoes away. Ruby Red, More Mustard(I will miss this colour sooo much come 1st Oct.) and Chocolate Chip which is not retiring but the all the  ribbons are, there will be no more choc. ribbon from 1st Oct. but do not sweat it because is being replaced by the most stunning brown ever Early Expresso YUMMY.
This card took me 5 minutes to put together and when time is the issue that s got to be good. I love back to basics cards, ink, stamp and card, that s all you really need to create a fabulous card in seconds.
I simply stamped a random background all over the whisper white layer in the three inks described earlier and made the sentiment my focal point along with a flower accent made with our 5 petal flower punch. I got a lot of questions about our punches this week, the punches on the retired list are NOT RETIRING for good they are being changed on to the new flat design the shape and size will stay the same.
here s a close up of the pretty flower
I punched then split the card in half and stamped on the rough side before curling and layering, a cute button with some curly card threaded through provides extra texture and interest to the centre.
I have made two of those one each for both my sweet and TRUE friends I just need to find 5 minutes to try and deliver them.
Here are  more examples of this set, so pretty.
Fab colours in this card, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise

Next one
This card was made for another true friend of mine the sweet Claudia for her birthday. So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise, I just love this card.
My next one was made using the fabulous sticky cuts and lovely glitter.
Elegant Eggplant and Taken with Teal I will mourn Take with Teal as is retiring .
And one special one, I love this combo
So Saffron, Basic Gray and whisper white. Soo classy and grown up.
Hope you enjoyed looking at my cards and until next time BIG HUGS xxx
