YAY SU is in the country!!!!

YEP STAMPIN UP ARE IN THE UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so very excited that after all this time is finally here!!! The catalog is on the website and it looks yummy, although it looks thin in comparison to the US one but then this is to be expected, as a buisness you need to start small and gradually build it. I am a bit dissapointed about the prices and to be quite honest I haven t yet sent out my forms to become a demo cos I m still mulling it over!!! I did however set up a stamp camp wich I m gonna held every month so if you re in North Yorkshire ( Selby, Doncaster, etc) and you want to check us out please drop me an email, I m planning and demonstarting fab classes and projects with goody bags and prizes that could be won on the day not to mention lots and lots of choccies and fun.

I ve got two cards today first one was for a kiddie s birthday and I ve pulled my Expression out for it .

This cute bug is from the Stretch your imagination cart( I love this one ) a v. good friend of mine from the US managed to get me one at a resonable price cos I wasn t gonna pay $150 for it!! The grass is from the Zoobaloo cart and the Happy bugday was cleverly cut out and manipulated from the standard Happy brithday on the zoobaloo cart.

The second one is a graduation card, and was made for Elaine my colleague at work, her eldest son graduated this year and monday they will attend the ceremony. Proud parents moment for them and I know she will be soo emotional throughout it.

I ve used yummy Dream Street papers that I ve bought this year at Alexander palace, the sentiment was done with two diferent sets of alphas capital s from BG and lower s from Hero arts, I ve seen this frase used on a diferent card in an american mag and I loved it, soo perfect for a graduation. I ve stamped a kompass on a circle of acetate and added a brad,(loved the way you could see the legs from the brad showing they looked like the hands on the kompass., some Papermania silver brads and black twine. Quite liked this one.Right then off i go to think some more about this SU buisness, cos is doing my head in now LOL

See ya all.....

GOGO oct.kit

Hello everybody!!! I can t belive it !!!!! I m blogging for the second time in a week!! insert *shock* look here!!! The scrummy yummy octobers kit form Scrapagogo has hit the homes of many lucky people this last week, and it contained the most gorgeous papers from BG mellow collection. Loved playing with this so I thought I would share some of the projects I ve made as part of my design team assignment.

This cute bag was made from 2 sheets of A4 paper, the kit also had some doylies included so I ve decided to cut the frilly bit added some brown ink and used it to edge the top of the gift bag, it looks quite nice IRL.

The cherries was this month s delicious stamp, and I just know I will use this stamp over and over sooo very versatile!!!! I ve paper pieced the cherries, and then added more depth using my watercolours. Did some fake stitching(still havent moved my sewing machine in my studio) on this card as well.

Making memories rub ons (also included in the kit), were used to add the sentiment for this card, while the flowers were cut out and then mounted on 3 d foam, with lashings of glitter added for extra sparkle and twinkle. I ve also hand drawn a wobbly border around the edge of the card.

And last one for today is this *Get Well Soon* one!! This flower was just beautiful and decided to make this shaped card to emphasise it. I ve handwritten the sentiment( but I definately need more practice at this, methinks).

So this was octobers!!! I m currently playing with novembers wich is oh so equally stuning!! In fact is very very GLAM!! Loads of glitter and girly things in it, proper girly girl things!! wink wink. Here s a sneak peek of what s included

Does this looks impressive or what????Check the kits out I ll say, because they re really beautifuly put together with loads of great embellies, ribbons, diferent shapes and sizes cards, envelopes and is all very good Quality and latest trend(not cheappo and often tacky looking supllies that you find in other similar cardmaking kits) and of course not to forget the stamp and sentiment to go with it every month. Hurrah!!!

Have a great weekend everybody!! see ya........

First post in november

Hello again!! I know I know I m a pain in the behind keeping this blog going LOL> but I m here now and I ve got a few projects to show you.
My first offering is a thank you card wich I made for the sweet Andrea. This clever girl made the most gorgeous bunny rabbit for my nephew Luca and unfortunately silly me didn t take a picture of him(he now lives in London with that cute little boy) but belive me it was just the cutest ever!!! So hope you liked your card and massive thanks once again hunny!!! I ve tried the spotlighting techinque wich was brought to my attention by the lovely Jane at the mini CC but couldn t get one done for that so I ve tried it here and have to say liked it lots, even tho I ve positioned the circle about 7 times before sticking down and if you look carefully enough you will notice it still ended up wrong, (I could kick myself every time I m looking at it).......hey ho lol.
The second card was made just because I haven t used this stamp since I ve got it, wich is a while ago let me tell ya!!! The stamp is by My Favorite Things( I ve got it from First Class Crafst) a company famous for headless people LOL wich at first I found odd, but they sort of grew on me. I have a few sets so I will start and use them a bit more methinks.

DCVW papers( I ve had those yonks so I m trying to use old stash before buying more), wide grosgrain ribbon(from a cardi I ve sent to cardi heaven)stickles to highlight it a bit, and a frame made with the help of 2 oval punches. And I must tell you I ve had an EURIKA!! moment today, I ve been after a punch that takes a small part of your corner away for ages, SU do one but didn t really want to use any of my pennies yet as I m waiting for SU to come over here to the UK so I can become a demonstrator for their fabuloso stamps. Sooo after trying and failing miserably for ages today I ve had a brain spark and thoguth what about using my scalloped scissors to do this? And I DID!!!...and IT WORKED!!!!...... and I was vey very HAPPY!!!! lol

So if you want to get the same effect, just line your corner on one of the scalloped edge of the scissors turning them away from the side you d normally do and cut away.. VOILA!! genious I thought, but then again knowing the clever crafting world out there, some clever sausage has already discovered this 12 years ago LOL.

And I had to make a thank you card for a man(BORING!!), I don t know about you but I just go tense when someone asks me for a man card, anyway I tend to do stars, so that s what I did a star and a few brads and a bit of ribbon and some DCVW papers, plus a sentiment cut with my expression from the Zoobaloo cart.. here it is

Nice hey? lol

Lastly a Chrissy card, I ve bought this cute stamp from US awhile ago(in fact it was august) and finally decided to use it after I ve stamped a few images for a sweet gal over on UKS(the stamps is by Eat Cake Graphics). Just watercoloured the image distressed the edges, added some glitter for sparkle and matted plainly on a navy blue card. Kept the size small cos people alaways get loads of cards at Christmas, and displaying them is a pain in the behind. I know that...LOL

Sentiment is from a set made by Woodware. Off to bed now, thanks for stopping by.. see ya!!
