I am I really am!! I've finally received my Stampin'Up! starter kit yesterday, so I can finally begin to do some trading. This means that the catalogues are gonna be on their way to those of you that requested one on Monday morning YAY!!. Those that didn't yet what are you waiting for? lol You need to order one, YOU NEED to!! I am happy to send you a copy for £5.95 which I will redeem against your very first offer of £30.00 or more. Now it was only natural that I have done nothing else since receiving the goodies, but inspect it and create in my head loads and loads of projects. I am delighted I have to tell you by the quality of it all ( I did expect good quality and I am happy is there), and you know how strongly I was urging everybody out there to never use anything for stamping their images onto, other than Papermill's white smooth cardstock? , well I am now telling you should only ever by the Whisper White cardstock from Stampin Up!! for all your stamping needs. It is just to die for very smooth, even smoother than the proverbial baby's bottom lol. Downside is that it will never be good for card blanks if you're want the layered look as is not heavy enough, but it will be perfectly fine for one layer cards . So the first card I m gonna share was made with the lovely Seeing Spots set(love this for his versatility) and the matching jumbo wheel.Yummy colour combo, I've used Real Red and Green Galore cardstock this was so very simple to make. Using red ink with the coordinating seeing spots jumbo wheel I have wheeled the pattern all over the red layer. This will give you a nice soft effect just like using a Versamark pad would. For my focal point punched out two circles stamp the dotted circle in real red, stamped the small flower in green galore used a half backed pearl from the pretties set, stamped the sentiment cut out and used as brackets around the circle. Certainly celery wide grosgrain ribbon balances the card out.
Second card was made using my favorite set of stamps from the entire catalog Unfrogetable.
Dont cha just love that little chappie? He puts a smile on my face everytime and the sentiments are so funny!! White card again, tempting turquoise and pink passion cardstock, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon, green galore ink pad to colour mr. Kermit here and diamond glaze to add dimension to his eyes and flowers. Used my circle punch to make the scallop border cut out circles and push them under the turquoise layer(much quicker way). I really like this card is bright and cheery.
Third card uses another set that I love, and the possibilities with this set are vast, and this is gonna be the one set I will NEVER sell, is also a fab one for men s cards.(now for that reason alone this is worth his weight in gold lol) It is Loads of Love of course.
I ve used SU watercolour crayons to colour the van and the hearts wich are mounted on 3d pads and diamond glazed. Dream street papers were used for the bottom half, certainly celery for the top this was stamped with versamark pad and the love bunch stamp.
I am trying to build a load of samples for my display boards so will have more to share soon. So meanwhile should you want me to help you finding out more about SU products please get in touch. Hugs xx
