Hello to you all, last week I have received an email form a lovely lady asking me if I would design some wedding invites samples for her using StampinUp products. The brief was clean and elegant without anything *gushy*, frilly or frivolous. Now I was quite nervous , I think is very hard when you design for other people and in fact I don't expect her to choose any of them as THE final design , but what I hope I achieved is something close to the brief and I hope that from here she can take some inspiration and add or take away elements to suit their taste. Another thing when designing invites you have to consider is time, as we all know card making is not fast and when you have lots of them to do it can become a nightmare, again I have done 3 different style some more involved than others time wise but I think your invites are very important is the first glimpse your guests get of your day before the event to come .
The couple share a love for the outdoors so this sample in earthy tones is very elegant. My favorite too. Chocolate Chip Old Olive and the Baroque Motifs stamp set embossed in white powder. Baroque Motifs again, simple stamping on this one, the easiest to reproduce time wise, Bashful Blue Chocolate Chip, and taffeta Choc Chip ribbon. My final one is a close design to the invites I have designed for my nieces wedding 4 years ago. Mr and Mrs stamp set in Elegant Eggplant and stamped in Lavender Lace, some tiny crystals for extra sparkle and Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon to keep it all in place.
What do you think? I would like to hear which one is your favorite if you have time to leave me comment. Hugs to you alll Monica xxxx

Hello Monica
ReplyDeleteI've followed your blog for ages now and check in most days - this is the first time I have commented on your work which I always find inspiring and an excellent springboard - it has to be the third one for me - it gives a hint of the bride's colour scheme, a touch of romance with the flowers and richness with the ribbon - it's lovely. Bridgette xx
I love them all but am patrial to the first two since I am into flourishes at the moment. Also like the first one. Almost went with Chocolate brown and lime for my wedding colors.
ReplyDeleteI like them all Mon - but my favourite is the bottom one. Just love the layout and the way you've used the stamps. I have been wavering backwards and forwards on the Mr & Mrs - you've just pushed it back towards the yes!
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to see which your customer chooses!
They are all delicious Monica - Its hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and Brown one but my favourite has to be the lilac! Adore it :-)
Thank you for sharing
Ooohhh...I love them all!!! If I had to order them though, I would say the Olive/Choc. one, then the Eggplant one, and then the Bashful Blue/Choc. one. They're all gorgeous though!
ReplyDeleteThink my fav is the elegant eggplant one, but they are all lovely - you really are very talented Monica.

Monica these are gorgeous, i would be more than happy with these designs if it was me you were designing for
ReplyDeleteall of them are beautiful, but I can only pick one it would be the last one. patty
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely but i must admit the third one in eggplant is my favourite:)
ReplyDeleteWOW they are all great!! But I think I'd go for number 1..great colours, very modern & stylish xxx
ReplyDeleteI love them all Monica but the 3rd one is the most traditional I think in design. Love the colours you've used to give a real idea of how the invites could be if bolder colours used and the flourish stamp is a real must for everyone-how versatile is it!!! Scary task though-I've always declined with a shudder as SO important to those involved-I'd trust you though! You did good girl!
ReplyDeleteI like 'em all! The top one is very crisp and elegant. I love the color and the shape/style of the 2nd one. They are beautiful....I hope they choose one!
ReplyDeleteLove them all but the final one has the WOW factor for me so thats definately my fav!

OMG ! So spooky, weddings are my agenda at the moment !
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful.
Hi Monica,
ReplyDeleteI like the first the best. For me it was the colour combination that did it! I am particularly interested in how you made the bow. Just fantastic!!
Greetings from Sweden :-)

Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Monica, I love the invite in the blue but I also like the white one you have displayed by the brown one. I am starting to Wedding Invites soon so your ideas are great. Sandra ( C&S Cards)
ReplyDeleteMonica, Love them all but do like the one on the table with the brown one. Sandra (C&S Cards)
ReplyDeleteHi Monica
ReplyDeleteAll 3 designs are gorgeous but the last is my favourite :) I love the delicatness and cleanliness of it. I think there is something to having to untie a wedding invite - it always seems that more posh
I Love your blog and ideas-keep up the great work.
Your cards are all beautifule, I adore the Baroque Motifs, my favourite set i think and so easy to use and make something classy with. However, the 3rd one is outstanding, it really looks elegant and very detailed. I love it when you post new messages showing your work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Monica but have to say the third one does it for me as well :)
ReplyDeleteStunning and classy.
Hugs Sonia x
My oh my Monica, beautiful invites!! I particularly like the fist one, such yummy colours!
ReplyDeleteHowever the word invites brings me out in a cold sweat! I foolishly agreed to make some for my friend's cousin and I wish I hadn't! Originally they only wanted around 30 - which is fine and one of the reasons I took it however once I had agreed they upped the amount to 65!! Plus they want Order of Services too!
very inspiring monica, love them all
ReplyDeleteHi Mon... I would go for No. 2 (for ease) but substitute the "cherish" for the Mr&Mrs. They are all beautiful as usual!Tara
ReplyDeleteHi Monica
ReplyDeleteGosh I would be hard pushed to choose as they are all so gorgeous!! I don't envy the bride-to-be when it comes to deciding!! Hugs xx
What fantastic cards Monica - as always.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite has to be the Mr and Mrs stamp set in Elegant Eggplant.
I guess thats two new stamp sets on the list for next month :)

Hello Dear, Lovely as usual. I like them all but I love the second one beacuse is elegant and as you say easiest to reproduce, reproduce reprod... Lots of love Susan XX ( Hej Jajeem X)
ReplyDeleteHi Monica hun :)
ReplyDeleteWOW... they are all gorgeous... I love the Lilac one but have to say the chocolate & lime one at the top is my favourite, I don't know why it's just so eye catching :)
They are all gorgeous. My fave (I think) is the last one. But I do love chocolate and lime...and it was the middle one that jumped out at me first...oh no.
ReplyDeleteHi Monica,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely lurve them all but I think my favourite will definately have to be the elegant eggplant one!
Hugs

Wow Monica they are all fab! I much prefer the first one, stunning and different, love the colour combination, but then I don't have lots of them to make! THe other two are nice too, although like Tara said I also think it would be that little bit nicer with Mr & Mrs instead of cherish, but I think that first one has the wow factor. Lovely though, all of them :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely cards Monica :) I like them all for different reasons. I'm torn between the second and last one though.
ReplyDeleteReasons for the Second One:
Love the simplicity/design. I'd change the stamp like Tara said, substitute "cherish" for the "Mr&Mrs". I love blue and brown together :)
Third One: I like the design, I'd just change the colour as I'm not a fan of purple/lilac :) Baby blue would be my choice :) Funny that...
Great job!
Hi Monica,
ReplyDeleteI am a regular visitor to your blog but this is the first time I've commented (I think!). All 3 are stunning, but the first one particularly. Oh how I wish I could stamp!
Cheers,
Ruthie x
I love all the samples, if it were me i would go with the 1st colours with the last style (which i love!)There all great though :)
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing what they decide.
I love them all & couldn't possibly pick a favourite! x
ReplyDeleteChocolate Chip & Old Olive for me Monica!......... I love them all (as I do all of your creations!) but the richness of this one won me over plus it's such an unusual combo for a wedding! ......... maybe I'll choose this if I ever get married! :)
ReplyDeleteThey really are fab Monica, so talented! x
ReplyDeleteYou have done a beautiful job on all of them, but my favorite would have to be the last one......Together Forever.
