Stampin’ Punch Art..

WOW!! is a fabulous Summer’s day isn’t it? I am taking it easy pottering and trying to get motivated to finish off making up the beds after being striped, washed and dried.
We finished off a yummy lunch while watching the Grand Prix and life couldn't get any better after I had a bowl of crushed meringues with fresh raspberries and Jersey cream, yum!. Thank you to all that took the time to email or leave a comment on yesterday’s post. I kinda guessed what the answer would be, so I will try and give you a cutting guide for the layers on my cards .
Ok onto today’s offering, Luca (my delish nephew) had a very busy weekend socializing and being carted off to various parties he had to attend.
He has 2 best friends and both of them celebrated their 4th birthday this weekend( so hard to believe they are four already). My sister asked me if I was up for doing a few cards for them and off I went.
This is Carmela’s card, she is an absolute doll and Luca adores her, they have been friends ever since they were born, well the mum’s started off as friends  when they were the size of a loaf of bread so I should say they grew up to be friends. Anyway here’s the card
lady birdCan I just say that I just love this cutie?!!!!!! Made entirely out of punches it took 2 minutes and looks so fabby. I have to confess to the grass taking a bit longer though.
Is an easel card which means that you fold half a sheet of A4 in half,  then the top half in half again.
Pretty in Pink layer measures 9.cmx 12.5cm
Whisper White layer is cut at 9cmx 12cm
I used a punched scallop circle shape and a dauber to sponge a sky over the white layer before adhering to the pretty in pink one.
To make the lady bird/bug if you live in the US, I punched  a 1 3/4” circle in real read and one in basic black. Use the largest hole on your crop o dile to punch a few holes for the black spots then mount the two circles together. Make a straight cut at the bottom. Punch a 3/4”circle in basic black then punch some curved shapes for the antena’s. Two small black circles made with  the crop o dile finish those off nicely. Add 2 googly eyes and you’re done.
To make the grass you will need a strip of old olive measuring 9cm x 4cm, cut the grass using a pair of snips, adhere to the white panel then slide the ladybird behind it slightly.

Next I made a sign using a coffee stirrer stick and the cute sign from the Party This Way stamp set. I have to say when the new StampinUp catalogue came out last year this wasn’t a stamp set on my list, but I got it free at Convention and I have used it lots since,  just goes to show huh?
The layers for the bottom of the easel are as follow:
Old Olive 10.5cmx6cm you will want to ass a decorative edge here using the scallop trim border punch.
Pretty in pink designer paper 10.5cm x 4cm
You will also need a scallop circle shape in bashful blue and a 13/8”circle shape in white to stamp your number on.
Stamp the sentiment on a thin strip of whisper white and you are done.
Hope you enjoyed my ladybird and hope you will have an enjoyable rest of the weekend. Till next time hugs xx
