Stampin’Up! Telford Regional Training

Hello there, I hope you are doing ok. The back end of last week was literally spent working on my swaps and team gifts I needed for our Regional Training in Telford this last Saturday. Then yesterday I was busy chatting with lots of lovely crafters at a Craft Show in Hull.

and I am just about caught up with answering emails and customer queries so my blog is next.

We had such an AMAZING day on Saturday but OMG did it go by fast!!  300 demonstrators from all over the UK attended his event and there was over 100 people from our group there!!! It was really impossible to get the whole group for a photo but I did manage to find a few and also capture some of the excitement of the day.

We had it all, INSPIRING business talks, incredible talented people showcased some amazing works of art and I was so happy and proud to see some of our team members delivering amazing presentations on stage or take part as display artists, can’t show you though as its top secret for now.

Of course there was crafting, and eating (think Authentic Jamaican Rum Cake !!!), and Prize Patrol :), we even had Gangham style dancing!!!

I got to see old friends and meet new ones :). I need to share this with you, see these gorgeous girls? watch that cake its relevant to the story :)

Stampin'Up! Friends They were all seated next to our table and we ended up asking permission to pinch one of their spare chairs. As I looked closely I spotted some cake, LIKE A FULL CAKE people not just a big slice, oh no a full yummy looking home baked cake( most probably the best cake ever). Now if you know me you know I NEVER go past cake without at least sniffing it. So I started exercising my well practiced skills to get some of that cake especially when I found out that it was an Authentic Jamaican Rum Cake. I got a BIG piece of cake and let me tell you it was THE BEST – AJRC I have ever tasted, hands down, these girls were not just talented(fabulous swaps) they could cook and they could move those booties to the afore mentioned Ganghnam style dance :). And then because I am such an idiot I dared ask for the recipe, one look was enough to confirm that I am indeed an idiot (she would have had to kill me if she gave me that). But that was not the end of the cake OH NO, towards the end of the day out came ANOTHER cake!! This time my favourite, Lemon Drizzle cake!!! yep you guessed it I had to get some of that as well and I was bummed because it tasted better than mine:(. This time I wised up.. I never asked for the recipe (what an idiot!!)

Needless to say I will practice my cake skills from now till November when we will attend our annual Convention in Manchester.I will be definitely bringing along my own FULL CAKE just to show this lot !! I might even make it 3 tiers high *wink*

ps. It was great to meet you all ladies :) and thank you for the cake xx

I was honoured to be asked to present on stage this time round and I think I did ok, it was all a blur as I was soo nervous. Here I am checking my notes :). THANK YOU CHRIS  for the photo :)

And here are the gifts I took for my direct team of demonstrators.

Stampin'Up! Collage Curious team gifts

I saw these bottle top charms on lots of blogs and loved the idea, they were perfect to attach to one of our bone folders which my lovely hubs drilled for me. I made lots of these last week with the help of Jo Jo and Jo S. two of my lovely downline and guess who else? lovely Carol of course :), thank you so much ladies xx

I did make 65 swaps all by myself though, but it wasn’t as much fun :) I will share them with you next time. Here’s a close up of the charm

Stampin'Up! Bottle tops charms close The bottle cap was flattened with the Big Shot then 2 circles of glimmer paper was added, stamp and punch the butterfly then the whole lot was filled with crystal effects and left to dry. Colours were Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit and Pool party.

Before I  leave I have one more photo to share with you all. Our team is varied and fun and some of us are actively building  businesses while some are happy to simply enjoy the benefits of being a demonstrator. And some are also busy building the new Generation of Passionettes :)

  2. Your demo was fab! Can't wait to try it for myself! The product, that is, not demoing to 300 demonstrators, that would be terrifying, LOL
