Wire hanger Home Decor

Hello again,

Our fourth creative class at the Retreat was a little home decor piece. I found these super cute vintage wire hangers and instantly I thought about making something scrapbooky to either display in your home or indeed give away. Here’s how it turned out

main

The two tags simply clip onto the wire hanger. The combo is Crisp Cantaloupe Baked Brow Sugar and a hint of black. We added plenty of interest with layered stamping and hints of the champagne glimmer paper.step 7

All the Stampin’Up! orders come protected in the box by lots and lots of thick brown recyclable paper. No one on our street has as much paper in their bins as we do :).

I have used some of this paper to create the frilly edge for the tags. So very pretty Victoria lace finishes off the joint.

Here’s a view of the second tag

step 6Swallowtail has made yet another appearance, you cannot beat him for instant glamour. Oh and yeah please note that my swallowtail is most definitely a boy, I think it must be because of his size. Papillion Pot Pourri, Flower Shop and  Background Builders were other stamp sets used on the tags.

For the main tag I used the Apothecary Framelits to shape the main part after stamping it first using one of my favourite quotes found in the From My Heart set.step 8

Vanilla seam Binding was dyed to tie in with our colours.

I hope you are enjoying a fabulous weekend, thank you so much for your visit.

See you soon with some more until then Big Hugs xx

This is adorable. I really love this project. And I do have a hanger that really looks like that. Maybe I should make this one too. Thanks for sharing this project.
