Today I am sharing some of the gifts packaging and my swaps that I made for Convention this year. Now there is no surprise that I tend to leave everything till the last minute and always end up burning the midnight oil before a big event like Convention. This year was a little different I managed to finish well ahead of time thanks to My Digital Studio.
I had a huge amount of gifts to prepare, 160 members of our extended team attended Convention, and while I didn’t get to make a gift for every single one of them I made about 100 of them so the ease of printing my MDS tags was a godsend.
Here’s my gifts for my directs.
A selection of goodies with personalized tags. Our Convention theme this year was BE the Difference so I adjusted the tags to suit.
The be Fabulous bag contained a diamante studded lanyard, it was a great way to spot each other during Convention and they sparkled like mad :) I used tags for all in MDS and chopped letters from various stamps to create a jumbled Fab U Lous. The Be was cropped from the word Beans, a Label this kitchen element :)
I made the chevron bags into gusseted bags with the help of lovely Carol (of course) and used a little wooden pin to keep the bag closed.
I gifted 100 lanyards, all with these tags on but I kept the bags flat for the ones that didn’t go in a bag.
Next I filled a coffee cup with some yummy home baked cookies. I was annoyed as I’ve been sent the wrong lids for the cups so I had a hard time securing the lid to the cup :(
OMG I baked and wrapped cookies for days :) . A while ago I came across (Pinterest) a recipe for what I've always known as Christmas cookies. My mum used to bake them without fail every year they are a delicious melt in the mouth treat. The tag read BE YUMMY this time and it was punched out with the bracket label punch.
Next in the bags was a little stamp set wrapped up in a Be Creative Tag.
Now before you think WOW Monica, you’re a lot generous buying everyone a stamp set can I just tell you that nearly all of these sets were FREE. As a demonstrator you earn incentives throughout the year and I have been saving my rewards to share with my girls that attended convention.
And I made all my 160 swaps with the help of *fabby Ali* using My Digital studio as well. Guess what I did?
I wish I could have baked 160 more cookies to hand out with my swaps but the recipe is easy enough to make and everyone should do a bit of baking before Christmas :) so just the recipe it was.
The download I used is called Sweet On Christmas, and I had to doctor the label as the original says Holiday Cookies but here in the UK we don’t say Holiday however this is the beauty of MDS you can so easily adjust things like these to suit :).
And here’s the recipe for those of you that didn’t get a swap but would still like to have a go at making the cookies.
I received some gorgeous swaps in return and I am so glad I made the effort, I have also received a huge amounts of gifts from my sweet friends and my team mates for which I am so very grateful. I want to thank you all for everything and for being part of my life :)
Roll on next convention when we will do it all over again. If you want to find out more about joining us send me an email or click the join my team for more info.
And here’s the links to the downloads used.
