A New Decade

Hello there, I am hoping you are well?

Today its my birthday, and its the birthday that sees me entering  a new decade. I have turned 40, not quite sure how this happened but it did.

And I expected to wake up and feel 40, truth is I  feel the same as I did 22 years ago maybe a little more lined around the eyes and a bit plump-er :)

One other thing that hasn’t changed at all is the love of my near and dear and my sweet friends :) I have been truly overwhelmed by the hundreds of messages, thoughtful gifts and beautiful cards. THANK YOU ALL so much, I really feel so blessed.

I didn’t want a big fuss instead I chose to spend the day with dear friends, a special dinner with the best husband I could have ever wished for and a get together with my precious family.

The last weeks have been manic with 2 Retreats, the end of Sale a Bration and a special weekend away just for me at the Go Go Getaway Retreat.

So I am sure you want to see some craft pretties and I want to share some of the bits I made for the Retreat attendees.

I baked some yummy bits for my welcome gifts. Simply decorated them in our fab chevron bags with pegged tags

I chose a scheme of Raspberry Ripple, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and carried that through the rest of the accessories.


Now you will have to forgive me but I totally forgot to take any photos of the room before we started trashing it, however I do have a picture of the goodie bag I had for each lady.


I found these cool lunch bags and I blew the budget getting them, luckily the Retreats fell into the SAB period and I was able to get some freebies for two of the classes to stretch them out a bit.

The bags were decorated with a cute tag and OMG between me and Carol we rolled hundreds and hundreds of the spiral flowers.


They turned out really cute in the end and they were well received.

Right I am off now needs to get my glad rags on for the second hoorah with my lovely.

Oh before I go I am sure you spotted my new look, please bear with me while I get everything organized. I have to thank the lovely Veronica from VK Design for working so hard to get me up and running :).
