Springwatch Class

Hello there,

How was your weekend? I worked on Saturday running an all day event for 18 lovely ladies, did you know that I bring my classes and all day events to groups of crafters? I tailor the projects and timings to suit each particular group and everything you will need to create chosen projects will be provided. If you would like to find out more please contact me at telemech01@aol.com

Now back to the next Retreat Class. A few years back I bought a load of MDF bird boxes from a UK company called the MDF Man. They were meant to be used in my second Retreat but it did not work out, then I shot for the third Retreat without succes and finally Mambo no 5 came around and it was a YESS!!

mainThey took a bit of time but it was time well spent as they turned out beautifully and what’s even better is that these are fully functioning money boxes. It was decided that they are now called Retreat Funding Houses :)

We used the Venetian Romance papers to cover the sides and the fabulous Woodgrain to create a much talked about roof. We made individual tiles from three shades of brown card stock.  I was really proud of the roof design, very visually pleasing.

We decorated the front with pretty flowers made with the spiral die, the fringing scissors, some branches and a little feathered tweety :)

Remember my pot full of these wooden balls?  Well I used four of them as feet  to slightly elevate the house and make getting the pennies out easier.

I plan on running this class as part of the All Day events in May so if you would like to make one as well contact me :)

Ok I am off now as its Monday and my list is loooong , if you would like to buy any of the products shown on today’s project here’s a list with a link to my shop.
