I am ashamed, yes to ashamed to even talk about my blogging efforts lately so let's jump in and talk to you about this month You Can Create it Challenge. It's a good job I have this challenge (maybe I should challenge myself to blog a bit more).
So this month our kits looked like this
I just LOVE the Something Borrowed papers and I stuck with the wedding theme just because I have another love for this gorgeous wedding set called Your Perfect Day. So here's my card
I choose to add a bit of colour to my kit and I went quite sweet with it. Blushing Bride , So Saffron and Pool Party. I also added some watercolour paper, I am on a watercolour kick right now (not that you would know of course, sorry). I used markers to simply add colour on the outline of the cake then with the aquabrush I just moved and blended the colour slightly, really quick but then again with images this small everything is really quick :)
And then I cut the cake out and mounted it inside circle cut with the 2 1/2" circle punch. LOVE this punch as well so quick for creating windows with ease.
And here's a little close up, noticed I stamped a little background onto my pool party layer? Its the little branch in the same set.
And this is Teri's project :)
And here's some of the examples a few of our participants sent in. I love to see different takes on the same basic kit.
Sue Dixon
Jess Brown
Anne Ronsky
Claire Boulton
Jackie Forcaste
Jill Lackford
And if you want even more inspiration follow our other participant countries and their examples, you will find lots of inspiration along the way :)
Do you want to play with us? Here's how it works??
Each month we will send you a little Mystery Kit containing a few Stampin' Up! supplies. The Challenge is for you to use those supplies to create a project. It could be a card, scrapbook page or any kind of 3D item.
You must use at least a part of everything we provide in the kit when you create your project. If you wish to, you can also add additional items from your own supplies.
When you have finished your project, if you take a photo of it and send it to us .... we will showcase it on one of our blogs on the 1st day of the following month - along side our own creations for that month.
If you have a Facebook Page or if you Blog yourself, you can display it there with a link back to us if you wish to :o)
The cost of one kit for one month is £2.50. Or you can subscribe for 6 months worth of kits for the reduced cost of £12.00 (postage and packing has already been included in the above prices).
The closing date for ordering this month's kit is Sunday 10th May.
Much love Monica xxx
Great to see what everyone has done with the kit - thanks for sharing the pics.
