My first..

......of many cards I will be doing using the free Sale a bration sets, that can be earned with a order of £45.00 until the 28 Th of February. The set I have used here is the Botanical Blooms and I had a bit of fun with my markers as I have decided to watercolour the blooms rather than using the set as a two step stamping. The cute origami box is one I have made using a tutorial from SCS but next time I think I will just make an easy box and add the sides, the origami method takes a bit of time. It ended up so cute, perfect for so many gifts, and this will be filled with something yummy. Check out the fancy corners they were made with my scallop edge punch from SU, also see how I have used two colours on the sentiment stamp? those clever markers allow you to add 2 or more colours to one stamp>

I have also made a card to go with it. Again a layout found on SCS that I have scribbled out on the back of an envelope so I cannot find it now, but if you seen it let me know and I will add a link to it( I do remember that it was a card with green and pink colours). The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and a bit of Choc. Chip. I am constantly amazed at how well Choc Chip goes with everything, I go through loads of packs of this colour I just love it!!!! Sentiment from Circle of Friendship another of my firm favorites, round sentiments work so well on any layout and I love to layer them for even more interest, SU punches do a fab job for this kind of layering. The bloom and leaves were stamped straight onto a long narrow piece of Whisper White and coloured in using the following markers, Summer Sun and Only Orange for the blooms and Cert. Celery, Yo yo Yellow, Old Olive and Gable Green for the leaves. Can you see how bright those images are? you don't need to spend loads and loads of money on expensive colouring mediums, those markers are highly pigmented and give super results. Now the flowers and leaves on the box were done on watercoloured paper, still lovely and bright but because water was used to blend the colours together, the effect is different, I love my markers they are so versatile and come in every single colour SU does so easy to coordinate.

I have not been crafting for myself at all this week as I have been busy with DT work and UStamp projects as well so I am sharing stuff that was supposed to be shared while away, hmm I will have to get cracking LOL. Hope you had a super weekend Hugs M xx

ps. My ribbon share is FULL but I have started a second one as I had more interest, need some yummy ribbon? get in touch and I can fix you up with some. xxxxx

Hello dear blog reader. WOW!!!! What a response to my last entry, I thank each of you so very much it was lovely to see those comments and nice to have confirmation once again that WE are all different and that's what makes the world go round. The bride to be has been in touch, she loves the designs and will sit down with her fiance (who works away during the week) this weekend and look into it further, I will keep you informed of the outcome.

Had my first class on the 10 th of January, and this is what we made.
A cute desk top calendar and a matching card.

Crazy for cupcakes stamp set and Sweet Always designer paper, Regal Rose, Choc Chip card stock. Cupcakes were coloured using markers, and the frosting on the big cupcake was made using salt, water and flour with a few drops of reinker( really cool, I might do a tut. on this). they were well received and we had a laugh like always, really love my classes and I know my ladies do as well.

I have finally organized a ribbon share. To join simply email me at telemech01@aol.com with the title ribbon share. Join this and you will get AT LEAST one metre of every single ribbon in the StampinUp catalogue and have all your projects coordinate, elegant wide grosgrain, narrow grosgrain, double stitched grosgrain, silky taffeta, sweet gingham, gold and silver cord, get it all sent to your door for a cool £25.00 including postage, plus I will send you a little gift.

It all happen very suddenly as we didn't planned to go on hols right this month, but I was at the risk of loosing some paid holiday from last year so we had to. I am excited of course, but this meant a lot of work organizing various things, and I want to say big huge thank you to ALL my ladies in my Stamper 10 clubs for bringing their orders forward, without their help I would have not been able to go, so if that s you reading this, I am very greatful to you, thanks. I am frantically working on projects and I will have scheduled posts to share with you while I m gone but I am also sneaking my markers and a few stamps in my case (DH doesn't know) and you never know I might even post a card I have made on my hols, you will know if I did as it will have sand all over it. I ve been playing

With new yummy stuff. I am still waiting for my delivery of new stash but had a few bits came with my customers preorders this week so I just had to try some stamps out. The set I ve used is called Bloomin Beauty and is bloomin gorgeous, is perfect if you like water colouring as it gives you the opportunity to show off your skills, I have used my SU markers to watercolour this bloom. Now often before I start on a card making session I need some inspiration and I always head off to SCS, a few minutes browsing the galleries on there and I am ready to go, I never like to take my computer upstairs as I don't want to be influenced but what I like doing is either jotting down a favorite combo or a favourite sketch or a element that caught my eye, and then I just take it from there. Last night I did just that went throught the challenge forums and looked for colour combos and I found this one Blush Blossom, Ruby Red and Close to Cocoa but I substitute it with Choc Chip. Of course at first I thought hmm ODD combo, but boy oh boy I love it. Here s my card, the sentiment is a Level 1 hostess set called Best Yet.

So soft and a very elegant combo. My base and the main panel are Blush Blossom an extra piece of blush was stamped with the paisley background in chocolate, and check that ruby layer!! it was scalloped using the infamous scallop punch !! and if you own both the threading water one and SU one you will see the quality difference, SU is so much better!

Now you will have noticed that I have changed my photography background, as the days are getting duller and the nights longer I need all the extra light so weather permitting I will be using the outside a lot more, I do however need to find something to work on, at the minute I m using my stainless steel rubbish bin. **shock**. Also UStamp Holiday 2008 has started not officially yet but the first bonus project has been posted and is so lovely, I am going to make some this year for sure. If you don't know what I'm talking about and you would like to find out more about UStamp go here .

Hope you had a lovely weekend, I ll see you very soon with more cards Hugs M xxx
