Stampin'Up On Stage Event Solihull

Hello there,
WOW, I have just about come back down to earth after a fabulous weekend spent with my team at our bi annual training event that took place in Birmingham.

We kicked it off with a yummy Afternoon Tea on Friday, where we swapped gifts and even did a spot of crafting. A sweet little stocking made with the Trim Your Stocking Die showcased here by the gorgeous Vanessa :)

Vanessa is also holding her goodie bag that I put together for my all attending team members. I used the fabulous You're Priceless across all of my gifts this year. It fitted perfectly

Then on Friday evening we attended an special Leaders Event, with a fancy delicious meal and wonderful presentations. 

I loved the colour scheme of the table decor and how gorgeous do my teamies Julie and Sharon look? It was a fun event and as well as the dinner we were spoiled with a personalised T-Shirt and a brand NEW stamp set that's coming soon in the Spring Catalogue. 

Saturday was all about fun new to be released products, crafting, business presentations and  hanging with my fab team having a grand time :) They are the biggest part of doing what I love, the friendship and relationships are the most wonderful thing in this business and I will forever be grateful to this girls for allowing me to share their journeys. 

     

     

  

  

    

Oooh I nearly forgot the cake !!!! We are celebrating 10 years in the UK this week and it was fun to see these yummy cupcakes everywhere.. 

   

 And there was plenty of recognition for our past year achievements.  Incredibly humbled and happy to have ranked number 8 in the UK, I have managed to place top 10 overall ever since starting my Stampin'Up! journey nearly 10 years ago !!! THANK YOU to all that supported me over these years.

Hello There Friend

Hi :),  how is your week going?

I love the title of my blog today, and one of the first stamp sets I bought from this current Catalogue that Stampin'Up! launched in July was the gorgeous Hello Friend set.

I am blessed beyond words to have some over the top amazing friends in my life,  and this set is perfect for celebrating their amazingness or for letting them know you are thinking of them when life throws them a curve ball.

I have *played* with this particular set quite a bit over the last few weeks, I am also a fan of the matching Hello Friend Heat Embossed Project Kit which is what I used for all of my Retreat gift presentation this year. BTW, I know you are waiting for details of this year's retreat and I cannot wait to share them with you very soon. Its been a longer wait this time round as the first session was on the 1st of October, and my second session won't be held until the end of October, not long now and all will be revealed.

The beautiful lattice background was heat embossed in white powder and a watercolour wash was added using the Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo inks. A few over stamped flowers cried a lively background showed off by the whiteness of the card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Grey ink and layered on a Flirty Flamingo circle, a few stamped and fussy cut flowers and some sequins added sparkle, the small section of burlap ribbon added texture.

Beautiful Bouquet- Lovely Inside & Out from Stampin' Up! Thailand Incentive Trips Swaps

How was your weekend? The weather it seems, forgot it is still Summer although we can't really complain it was dry and reasonably nice this weekend but didn't make me get the bikini out :)
I am sharing my swaps I did for the Thailand Incentive Trip, with Stampin' Up! last month.

I THREW a lot of different products on this project even though at first glance it looks fairly simple. Swaps in the demonstrators life are valuable tools as they are used to display at events so the customers can see them used, fall in love with them and ultimately buy them LOL. So I showcased a lot of bodies on these beauties. 

I decided on  Lovely Inside & Out  and the gorgeous Beautiful Bouquet  bundles for the imagery and text. 

I started by cutting out the frame and the inner circle for stamping using the fabulous *If you do not have these yet ring me now* Stitched Framelits  . For this I used our Basic Whisper White card, this cardstock is the bestest, smoothest base you will ever use for stamping on.  Then I stamped my array of flowers in Fresh Fig, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. 

Next my matting layer measuring 9.5cm by 13.5cm had the words hugs cut into it using the matching Lovely Words Thinlits.  Once this step was completed out came the gorgeous Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder and the whole layer embossed. 

Using sponge daubers, I sponged the word in Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango inks. And that was all, everything slotted together with the stitched ring being the last thing to be attached. Oh I forgot, actually the last thing to go on was the thin strip with the remainder of the sentiment and a simple bow made of out linen thread. 

So there you have it, my lovely swaps I took with me all the way to Thailand :)

And I am sharing one of the cards we made at a recent class. 

I am telling you, if you want super cute and easy in same sentence then this bundle has to be IT. 

Endless possibilities, this card came together easy, the only time consuming part was the fussy cutting of the stem and leaves but even with that it only took minutes to complete. And check that cool background out 

The new texture paste (click the link to find it in my store),  is such a fun new medium to work it ( I say new, its not new per say but Stampin'Up! only just started carrying it). What I love the most about it, is that is FAST drying so you do not have to bake it, or use a heath tool, simply create your background first then get one with the other elements of the card. By the time you are done your paste should be nearly dry as well. I hope you can see the fun sparkle effect on it. Just sprinkle some dazzling diamonds glitter on the wet paste and you have the most super sparkly 

effect on your card.
