Birthday Passionette

Hello there well are you excited to see the wedding on Friday? I cannot wait and I have Sky plus it just to make sure I won’t be missing it and to look back over it of course.
Last Sunday it was Tracey’s Happy Birthday, Tracey is a Passionette who lives in Northern Ireland so if you’re in need of a demo that way please let me know and I will put you in touch with her. we haven’t met yet but spoke on the phone I know one day we will get there. Tracey likes purple and her card reflected that. Here’s what I did
eggsI used the Strength and Hope set, I love this set and I love the fact that is a charity set as well, also in a different colour other than pink it looks beautiful and you realise that is so versatile.
Elegant Eggplant cardstock and matching designer paper combined with very vanilla and crumb cake.
butterfly close The butterflies have been inked in pale plum first then I have added extra colour with a Elegant Eggplant marker, the markers are the best for adding more than one colour or shade to a stamp.  I cut 2 top Note die shapes with my Big Shot and to layer them I have simply cut the tiny perforated border away.
Then I have made a lush and crumpled ribbon bow using the crumb cake seam binding.
bow close
To achieve this beautiful and rather scruffy looking ribbon treatment you simply spritz some water onto the seam binding and scrunch it in your hands, I love the effect and topped it here with a pale plum button which in turn got a bit of a champagne glass glitter treatment. My card doesn’t have a sentiment on the front as I really couldn’t make it work, the ribbon took a lot of the space and the butterflies demand nearly all of the attention so I have stamped it inside of the card, instead.
inside The greeting comes from Perfect punches set and it has been punched out with the coordinating Extra Large Oval punch then layered onto a designer paper layer punched out with the decorative Label punch.
Tracey I hope you had a special day and enjoyed it lots I also hope you loved your card.
I also want to wish Linda one of my other Passionettes a very Happy Birthday for today, I will share Linda’s card later with a bit of a story attached.

Like the look of this stamp set? Well don’t forget the STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER Event which starts in a few weeks. Read all about HERE and order your kit Now, I have spent some time before this weekend cutting and bagging all the kits you will simply adore the projects.
Thank you for joining me hope to see you again soon, till then BIG HUGS xx

Easter break

Hello here I hope you’re enjoying a fabulous break over Easter, we sure have had some fabulous weather didn’t we? Our stay in London was really good, it was so nice seeing dad again and we had a really good time together however there was one person who we all missed and that was mum. We started Easter Day  with a traditional breakfast and the cracking of the dyed eggs. This is an Easter tradition in the Orthodox religion, you dye eggs bright red (although in the modern days  eggs get decorated in every colour of the rainbow) and then at the table before your meal you partner with one of the guests/family member and say Christos a Inviat! (Christ has Risen!), the other person responds Adevarat C-a Inviat!  (Truly He is Risen!)
You then proceed and tap each other’s eggs.  The persons egg that remains intact is supposed to have good fortune for the coming year and is the winner, a lot of thought goes into choosing the hardest egg from the bowl and I can confirm that this year my sister’s egg was the strongest much to Luca’s disgust.
We then headed towards Central London mainly for dad’s benefit, and as you can see below the preparations for an upcoming important wedding have started. I loved seeing the city all dressed up what a special treat for all those visiting London at this time.city of london
I love the Royal Family and I am so excited about this wedding.
In the afternoon we came home and cooked the most fabulous English Roast Dinner, we had lamb of course and it was yummy. I love how as a family we combine our two different cultures.
I will leave you with a few snaps of our day, hopefully you had a lovely Easter weekend with your family.

Little Additions

Hello there WOW is the Easter weekend already, can you believe it? Certainly this year is whizzing by already.

We had another birth in the family the sweetest baby boy Isaac, I was lucky enough to see him this week and snap a few photos of him, a big boy he weighed 9lbs 4oz, such a cutie

baby boy 12

And I made him a card using the new stamp set Little Additions.

baby boy

This is such a cute set, I love all the elements in it you can really have a lot of fun and create sweet nurseries but equally you could use this set to make so many other cards from new home to retirement  cards, anything from babies, to ladies and even men’s cards.

My scheme is Marina Mist Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede. I love the fact that I can so easily cut a scalloped layer with the Big shot but I think we do need a bigger circle die that fits inside, I got lazy with having punches that fit inside each other I almost demand  it now.

Guess what? We are in London celebrating Easter, Dad   flew in today so is going to be lovely to be all together for a few days. My sister has been cooking non stop for the last 2 days and we are now decorating eggs a Orthodox tradition at Easter time. as you can imagine we have one very excited little boy in the house Winking smile

eggsThank you so much for visiting me and wishing you a Very Happy Easter !!!

Till next time big hugs xxxx

Want to see my crafty space???????

Hello there, I did mention last time that I have something to share with you and this is the state of my craft room before we started on Sunday. I know shocking right?before
In my defence though half of it was the stuff my hubby brought back from the NEC show and just dumped into the middle of the room after I had to rush out and be with mum. But fear not even without that stuff this room was BAD.
Things just got out of hand a bit and it got so bad that I knew just a few hours wouldn’t make a difference. So on Sunday along with my good friend Alison( thank you for volunteering hun) we tackled it, we started at 11am broke for a 30 min lunch and when Ali left at 4pm we only did half the room, however we did a total reorganize not just a pull everything out and bring everything in. I carried on after Ali went home to her lovely hubs and didn’t finish till 9.30 that evening but I had 1 hour for dinner and a quick email check.
I am so ashamed to show you this picture but I have also crafted a long long time to know that pretty much every crafter out there will have experienced this chaos at some point, ok  maybe not on the same scale I know.Winking smile
Ok so I am sure you want to see  the after right?
after
Now my room is not a planned and designed room, I do covet one of those and one day it will happen, this room is thrown together but is arranged in a way that is very user friendly and I am extremely happy in here loosing hours on end creating and playing.
Everything is arranged in a U shape, so as you enter the room on the left hand side I have my stamp library
stamps
Tall DVD storage units inexpensive and perfect for all my stamps( I wish they were white but  they were to cheap @ £5 each to worry about the colour of them, the latest 2 have been around £15 each) I store my stamps by size and each cubby hole is numbered, I then have all the stamp sets listed alphabetically and each stamp set is given the corresponding number based in which cubby hole it is stored, not sure that makes sense, it works for me and it cuts down the search time. I want to say that only current sets are stored in this units, everything that retires lives in a different place. I am also storing the dies for my big shot on this unit.
Below you can see the beginning of my desk.
desk
It sits on top of what used to be bedroom bedsides cabinets. At the top I have 2 double units that have doors on for even more storage. When we moved in 2 of the bedrooms had these fitted white bedroom units very dated and not at all for my taste so when we remodelled them I had hubs adding them into this room instead of throwing them out, my intention is to have a custom build craft space in the future but before that I think I would like to move house LOL>
These deep drawers store a lot and they also allow me to have everything on hand. On the top my Big shot station the spinning carousel which quite frankly holds all of my tools and my ink  holder. On the wall a peg board that houses my clear blocks, embossing folders, a little telly, bits and bobs of business tools  and along  from that starts my ribbon storage. This is simply 3 narrow shelves that I have bought in Ikea many moons ago. They are brilliant and work a treat, is so  easy to take the reel I want and simply replaced it on the shelf after I finished with it.
desk front
Next my working place, is here where I have my chair underneath the window so I have plenty of natural light to work with is also wonderful for shooting my videos nice and bright.
I have shot a video so you can have a virtual tour of the room at the end of this post and I mention in there the nice and deep window sills. I was so happy I chose deep ones when we changed our windows as this doubles up as wonderful storage for my punches and my markers, again everything within easy reach.
desk front punches
Here’s another view, the old style punches are stored on a metal shoe rack(Ikea for a cool £2.50)and my new style ones simply fit side by side, I LOVE my punches. My guillotine is the one thing I couldn’t live without I had it nearly 12 years and never needed sharpening or the blades changing and is happy cutting through 6 sheets of card at a time, makes class prepping such a breeze.  I also have one of those OTT Lite daylight lamp, brill for late night crafting.
As you turn around towards your right  you come to this
paper storage
One big Ikea Expedit unit, half the crafters out there have got one or two of those babies.Red heart This cubes hold a lot of stuff but mainly my card, I organize everything by colour and not by family, my brain copes better having it this way and I think it looks prettier. These 12x12 clear stackable trays I have collected over the last few years as they are so hard to come by now a days, however early March a local craft shop closed down and I went to ask them if they were selling their storage and managed to get a few more so now I have just about enough. They are neat and I turned them upside down so that I can get the sheets out easier, if used the right way up they have some tabs at either end and is a bit of a pain to slides the sheets out easily you need to manoeuvre them about a bit.
And when I said earlier that my room was thrown together you can see it clearly in this picture. Have a look at the legs of my unit, they are supported by some wooden blocks as they were not long enough and my lamp is actually sitting on a plastic box.
Voila!! This is where I happily create and prepare for events and NO I am not making any promises that I will keep this room looking this way because I know it won’t happen and that’s the end of that, but I do know it will take me less time to tidy it as everything has got a place now.
Hope you enjoyed peeking into my room and here’s the video enjoy !!!
Till next time Hugs xxx

I am here….

Hello there and hope this finds you well. I am still catching up believe it or not but I am now definitely seeing the light. I have also done something BIG this weekend which I will share in a future post, it will shock you and it will shame me but I will do it. You know I always share the good and the bad and I am not afraid of making it public that I am far from perfect, just you wait and see LOL.
I am sharing more goodies made at our recent training event.
Have you looked at the Nature Walk stamp set and thought nah, not me? Personally I think is the best set in the new mini but I know many people didn’t look at it twice.
make n take
This was another of our make n takes cards at the training event. Soft Suede, More Mustard and Old Olive. This card looks so much nicer IRL yet is so very easy to make the hardest and the longest bit was tearing and distressing the edges. To obtain the different shades on the branches I simply inked once then  stamped 3 times. The whole card was spritzed afterwards. Tiny Tags (Gosh how I love this set!!) spells a discreet message and it adds interest to the centre of the inked and stamped paper daisy. The twill tape was cut and frayed for texture. I think this card was a hit with everyone. I do like this set a lot.
Another card on the day was this one.
motorbike
A man card with GLITTER on!!!! I know glitter and men are a big no no but the new glass glitter is fabuloso and here it looks like gravel perfect for any guy really.
Combo is an unusual one. Not Quite Navy, River Rock and Cherry Cobbler. The river rock layer was embossed with the lattice embossing folder, the bike was coloured with the blender pen and cherry cobbler ink and the sentiment was stamped straight onto the twill tape.
The last beauty we completed on the day was designed by Bekka my lovely friend and downline. I pinched those photos from her blog to share
Nursery-02      Nursery-03
Such a sweet little brag book made with the new envelope die. I have played more with it today and I am so in love with it, very versatile indeed.  The colours used here are Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Nursery Suite accents.
I was also showered with gifts and lovely cards my sweet friends have made me, I am so grateful to them all and here’s a few of them.
flowers  button box
Gorgeous flowers from Carol, the most beautiful button box which looks just like one of our new buttons !! I love it Ali !!
And the presentation box, I need that daisy die emphasis on NEED. box
Val has baked me the most yummiest, moist and satisfying banana loaf, it had dried fruit and dried cherries in it ( I know, cherries are still fruit LOL). The packaging was so very pretty
cake
Looks Yummy huh? We only just finished it !!
Erika bless her soul made me this, hope you can read it, is so lovely
mug
and then there was THIS…
choco
Can you say CHO-CO-LA-TA ? Yum Yum indeed, thank you so much  lovelies you are sweet and I am very lucky Smile.
right I better get off to bed DON’T FORGET to register for the Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event time is running out, I will start cutting the kits out this week. I am so looking forward stamping and sharing good times with you.

Join us in STAMPING OUT BREAST CANCER

Hello there my lovely blog reader, today I have a very important post for you. Is serious but FUN and it incorporates our love of crafting while enabling us all to help with this fight. We have all been touched by this disease in some way, have fought it ourselves, have a loved one or friend who has fought it; some have won the fight, some have not.

Let’s celebrate them all and help to find a cure.

So don your favorite pink t-shirt, make a date with your stamping friends and join us on May 14th, for a 4 Nation Event!

On May 14th at 1, p.m.
(Pacific Daylight time) we will all get together to
STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER!

How are we going to accomplish this?

We have set up a website which will go live at that time.  It contains the pictures and videos on completing each of the projects – and we want to invite you to stamp with us!

TO PARTICIPATE
You need to register with one of the Demonstrators in your country to order your kit – by May 1st, 2011. (There is a registration form on each site listed below and at the bottom of this page)

Our kit includes:

What do you think? fancy it? I hope that you do and I hope that you will join us stamp some fun projects, make new friends and help this worthwhile cause.

The set used in all the projects is the most beautiful ever and when Sandi approached me to be part of this event she asked that I designed a few projects to be considered for the package. I managed to design a card in my hotel room while at NEC and it never made to Sandi as I had to leave and be with mum. So I am sharing it here for you all to see.

Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red yummy combination, I am digging the rose red seam binding and the bevelled widow panes, top note die AGAIN and the beautiful Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Woop woop!!

Team Training and what fun once again..

Hiya hope you had a good weekend, I spent Saturday packing and getting ready for our Quarterly Team Event in Peterborough and spent yesterday enjoying the most fabulous time with the most loveliest people you could ever meet. I love getting together with my team and other fellow demonstrators, we share ideas and business tips, we share laughs and build memories. Looking at the short video I am still smiling, THANK YOU EVERYONE for sharing your day with me Smile.
We had 3 talented ladies sharing some wonderful projects and OMG !! wait until you see all the ideas, we have amazing talent in our team and I am so grateful to them for sharing with us all.
The swaps were just incredible, and I will share them all with you on here over the coming days, our theme was mini catalogue and they were all fabulous. The projects were focused around the new mini with the Big Shot being star of the show. One of the projects was this lovely Easter Basket made with the Scallop Die and it uses the exclusive Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.
cone easetr
Baha Breeze card stock, paper daisies a few accents from the Nursery Suite and the sentiment comes from the new level 2 hostess set Something to Celebrate, the cone is held together with 2 filigree brads.
One of the three cards we made was this one.
owl training_
I saw this card during SAB time and earmarked it for future, I did change it a bit though, love that top note die so very much. The box folds down flat so you could easily post it, such a sweet idea and one I will be using again for sure. Becki did hers in pinks and yellows and I have to agree hers turned up way cuter.pink owl

SWEET FRIEND Birthday

Hello there hope you’re ok and getting warmer, we had 2 lovely days here. I got to have a bit of a play this last few days but boy I’m I rusty!! I think i have new stash Crafter’s block. I am surrounded by all this nice new stuff and I just cannot make anything worthy it seems.
I did however after some persistence managed to make a gift box and a card for Fiona one of my dear friends. She celebrated her birthday today and I had to break open THE most gorgeous stamp set from the mini catty… I LOVE THIS SET seriously love it. If I don’t buy another set from now till never I will be happy with this set.. ermm ok maybe not till never *smile*
Here they both are..
fi main
I have used Nature Walk stamp set and the yummy coordinating Botanical Gazette papers, so gorgeous. In am loving the vintage inspired sets in this mini, I am ready to explore a bit further and maybe try something new, this style looks very grown up to me and while I personally refuse to grow I do not have any qualms about my  card making style growing up.
fi card
I decided on an easel card and it uses the fabulous Top Note Die, I cannot believe that I have got this and I'm using it, I needed it like forever. I have used my Stampin markers to add colour to the flowers and layered the bee and a few other stamps from the set on vanilla card stock, then I used So Saffron and the brayer to add some colour to the panel. Everything was splattered with the spritzing tool (ok you cannot see the splatters in this photo as that happened later look at the previous photo, see? told you very rusty). Look at that glorious seam binding in Crumb Cake, I need to tell you that I didn’t immediately love this ribbon, if you are looking for neat bows that hold their shape on your projects this is not what you are looking for, if you want beautiful ruffles and pleats then this should be your first choice, wonderful to work with.
And another thing I really love is the glass glitter, is amazing especially good for those I don’t to glitter crafters. I have used here the Champagne.
fi close
Colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke and So Saffron. Sentiment from the trusty Sincere Salutations set.
The gift bag is one of Lauren Meader’s templates cut in choc chip and decorated as above.
fi box
I have made a boo boo here as you can see. I have added some colour to the bird with my aquapainter and the choc chip which was the ink I initially stamped my bird in bled and made the whole thing appear a bit muddy, not sure why I did this I should have known better, I’ll blame it on the rusty again. More glass glitter and ruffles, pretty, pretty ruffles in crumb cake. The sentiment on here is from the Just believe set.
You can order anything you have seen on these projects from myself by emailing me at telemch01@aol.com.
Plus don’t forget to purchase your entry into my BIG SHOT Competition, I would love to give away 2 Big Shots next week.
Thank you for stopping by till next time big hugs xxx

THANK YOU for all the love… and what do you think?

Hello there how are you? I am getting there we arrived back in the UK and I am frantically trying to catch up with so much that I have outstanding. I want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one that took time to leave me a comment, sent me a beautiful card, text me, facebook me, email and rang me. Thank you for your lovely  messages of support for me and my family, they made me cry as I read them and they also filled me with warmth, to think that so many of you have been thinking of me and my family at this sad time was comforting and very much appreciated, THANK YOU.
Seeing my mum burial was the hardest thing I have so far experienced  in my life, seeing my sister so upset and distraught broke my heart even further and I constantly wished I could have made it easier for her. I am thankful for my husband and my brother in law who were true superstars throughout this. My heart aches for my dad whom we left on his own in the house where they shared so much together, I am counting the days till he can join us for a few months while the immense grief he feels right now starts to fade slowly, is going to be a long road I am sure. We take comfort in the fact that mum is now in a much better place free of pain and suffering and we also take comfort in the fact that she didn't suffer too long on this Earth. She will live in our memories and our hearts forever and I know it will be hard every day but I also know I will cope and it will get easier in time, is because of her I am here on this Earth and coping and carrying on is what I owe her, she gave me my strength and positive outlook in life for which I will be forever grateful. Love you so much Mama.
Once again if you took time to contact me and even if you didn't have time to do so but you though of me at this sad time I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
