Poorly pants and Christmas Club

Hello there hope you had a wonderful bank holiday weekend. I am very sorry for my absence but like nearly every time after a trip that involves a longer flight I end up poorly. We arrived back on Thursday and I managed to get all the washing done and dried and then started Friday off getting excited about my Thermomix demo. I can tell you that we have been so impressed (hubby caught the last of the demo after his golf outing) that he bought one for us and paid extra to have it delivered on Saturday Red heart. I have been cooking up a storm ever since. I did not switch the oven on once since the delivery and we had a house full as my sister came on Friday with her family, it is the most brilliant appliance I have ever owned. I am sure i will delight you with my offerings in the future.
Sunday we had Christmas Club and I did all my organizing before I left for my holiday except the cutting and packing of the kits. On Saturday night Laura and BIL helped me and we managed to cut and bag 112 kits in just over an hour.
Here’s the cards everyone made in this session, we had a lot of fun, and just like always I was to buys chatting to take any photos, especially as my sister joined the class. She loved it and didn’t need much help at all, I am working on her to sign up as a demo Winking smile.

Wild Wasabi, Real Red and crisp Whisper White. A very traditional card and a fun selective embossing technique.

Second one using the fun Quilted Background made in Cherry Cobbler and using scraps of the Jolly Holly designer paper. This card was inspired by my lovely downline Linz, she made a similar swap at our Christmas in July event.
Third one was our punch art but I warm you dreadful picture coming up.

Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, I saw various examples of this card on the net and modify it to suit my needs. Is a very elegant card picture does not show it well.
And finally my fave one, is my own design from a swap I made last year for our Peterborough Christmas in July Event.

Everyone got to make 2 cards of each design and they got envelopes with their cards as well. We are building a nice collection of cards already and I am so excited to have a stash made ahead of time this year. If you want to join us the next one is 25 September right on Anne’s W. birthday *wink*.
Ok I am off to my duvet even though I have so much to do, but I am feeling to rotten. However before I go I want to show you my first batch of home made bread in the Thermomix if you even made bread you will know how long it takes and how much mess you have left behind. I will tell you that this lot took 2 minutes to weigh combine and knead a further 20 min rising and 20 min cooking. Oh and everything was done in one bowl that cleaned itself !!!

I have been baking fresh bread every day.

Birthday Passionette.. Greenhouse Garden

Hellooo today is happy day, Bekka my friend and dear Passionette is celebrating her happy day today!! Happy birthday Bekka hope you’re enjoying a fab day!!

Bekka loves Marina Mist and I used it here paired with Wild wasabi and Perfect Plum. I have chose to use the greenhouse garden stamp set from the Stampin’Up main catalogue as is been a while since I gave it some inky love.

bekka

The wasabi layer has been stamped with wasabi ink for a subtle background and some of the  flowers were stamped directly onto my white layer and some were stamped,  hand cut and mounted on dimensionals.

You can see it better in this shot.

Birthday Passionette and VIDEO…

Hello there I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, mine was splendid spent Saturday with hubs and Sunday with my favourite people ever, my team and fellow demonstrators, it was a great day and I came home exhausted but so happy.
Today however I want to shout  about Tara’s Happy Day and her special card. Tara is a lovely friend and team member, she works full time and has a young family to look after so she is not a business orientated demo but a valued member of our team nevertheless.
Tara loves purple and once again I had a challenge on my hands. This time though I  turned to my trusty Colour Coach for a suitable purple combination. And guess what? I have found a firm favourite!! Surprised smile I know!! me and purple can now be friends.

Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand. I love the softness of this combo and if you haven’t tried our Square Lattice embossing folder yet then you must get it as soon as you can. I am addicted to it, as I arranged those designer paper squares on my cardstock I wasn’t that sold on the whole look of this card but as soon as I run the whole layer through this folder I was WOW’ed and this was the point I fell in love with the scheme and went for it.
The beautiful stem on my focal panel comes from the Sweetheart stamp set and was stamped in Sahara Sand ink, this is another neutral that stole my attention lately I seem to choose it over Crumb Cake right now, is  very pretty. The sentiment comes from the Perfect punches set and it was punched out with the large Oval punch a layer of blushing bride cardstock was punched with the scallop oval punch, I love how Stampin'Up! punches work so well together.

And then there was the lush flower head made with the gorgeous Fancy Flower punch. I think I added 5 layers of perfect plum cardstock punched flowers and held them together with a filigree brad ( I got this idea from my uber talented friend Jenny Moors, thank you lovely Jen :).
A few rhinestones  and some white organza ribbon finished this little masterpiece off. I had a very sweet message from Tara this morning saying she loved it so that was nice feedback.
TARA I hope you will enjoy the rest of your special day my love and HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!
Now get me! before I cleaned my desk I have made another card slightly different for a new friend.

Birthday Passionette

Hello there well are you excited to see the wedding on Friday? I cannot wait and I have Sky plus it just to make sure I won’t be missing it and to look back over it of course.
Last Sunday it was Tracey’s Happy Birthday, Tracey is a Passionette who lives in Northern Ireland so if you’re in need of a demo that way please let me know and I will put you in touch with her. we haven’t met yet but spoke on the phone I know one day we will get there. Tracey likes purple and her card reflected that. Here’s what I did
eggsI used the Strength and Hope set, I love this set and I love the fact that is a charity set as well, also in a different colour other than pink it looks beautiful and you realise that is so versatile.
Elegant Eggplant cardstock and matching designer paper combined with very vanilla and crumb cake.
butterfly close The butterflies have been inked in pale plum first then I have added extra colour with a Elegant Eggplant marker, the markers are the best for adding more than one colour or shade to a stamp.  I cut 2 top Note die shapes with my Big Shot and to layer them I have simply cut the tiny perforated border away.
Then I have made a lush and crumpled ribbon bow using the crumb cake seam binding.
bow close
To achieve this beautiful and rather scruffy looking ribbon treatment you simply spritz some water onto the seam binding and scrunch it in your hands, I love the effect and topped it here with a pale plum button which in turn got a bit of a champagne glass glitter treatment. My card doesn’t have a sentiment on the front as I really couldn’t make it work, the ribbon took a lot of the space and the butterflies demand nearly all of the attention so I have stamped it inside of the card, instead.
inside The greeting comes from Perfect punches set and it has been punched out with the coordinating Extra Large Oval punch then layered onto a designer paper layer punched out with the decorative Label punch.
Tracey I hope you had a special day and enjoyed it lots I also hope you loved your card.
I also want to wish Linda one of my other Passionettes a very Happy Birthday for today, I will share Linda’s card later with a bit of a story attached.

Like the look of this stamp set? Well don’t forget the STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER Event which starts in a few weeks. Read all about HERE and order your kit Now, I have spent some time before this weekend cutting and bagging all the kits you will simply adore the projects.
Thank you for joining me hope to see you again soon, till then BIG HUGS xx

Birthday Passionette........

Hello there hope you are well, I woke up yesterday feeling YUKK :-( the lurgy took hold of me but I am medicating myself round the clock and I am determined not to let it spoil my family time, then my Internet went down for a whole 24 hours). Talk about being completely and utterly lost.
But is all good and today is my dear Jackie's Happy Day. Jackie is one of my lovely Passionettes and she is a fabulous and very prolific scrapbooker. In fact that's how I have met Jackie on a scrapbooking retreat.
So bearing this in mind here's the card I have made for her.
Jackie loves red and I love those papers from the *LOVE LETTER* collection:) a lot!!> I also love the Notably Ornate stamps. Basic Black, Real Red and Very Vanilla gives you such an easy and elegant combo. The sentiment comes for the Perfect Punches and the monogram from the Broadsheet  alpha stamp set. You know what's even better? the fact that those stamp sets were absolutely free. I earned them for free like most of the stamp sets I own, I love being a demonstrator and if you love free stamps and [product you too could become a demonstrator and start a new venture in the New Year. I am looking to build my team and would invite you to join me if you are thinking about it. Read more here then get in touch for more details and a no obligation chat.
Here's a close up of the accents on this card all grouped together.
I added a black button topped with a clear rhinestone as well as using one of those blingy stones for the monogram. Black satin ribbon has been added as well.
Jackie I hope you had a fabulous day and my card got to you in time.
Till next time BIG HUGS xxx
