A REASON TO SMILE :)

Hello everyone finally I can smile again. After my last update the laptop did pass away or so I thought until some clever IT guy resurrected him. Not having any technology for nearly a week was tough but finally I am back and smiling again.

And guess what? Stampin’Up!  is giving you a reason to smile as well with our fabby July promotion. Click the image below to find out more

But in a  nutshell during August you can get your hands on a very pretty new stamp set called Reason to smile and you have some options as well. You can either get it FREE with a £60 order or you can buy it for £18.95 in the wood mount option or £14.95 in the clear mount version.

And after earning mine for FREE during July I was very eager to have a play, FREE stamps are the best and as a demo I get most of mine for FREE.

I spent a few hours beside the sea side yesterday, I went to visit the lovely Emily and her family. Em has done me a huge favour recently and I wanted to take her a little something to say how grateful I was to her. I made this

reason to smile duo

The set is a 2 step system which basically means that you have a solid image and a corresponding outline which can be used over the top. And that’s exactly what I did here, I stamped my solid daises first then added the black outline over the top.

My duo has quite a vintage feel to it the colours are soft suede, more mustard and very vanilla. I also added splashes of black for a bit of punch.

On the card you can see I have used quite a few punches as well the scallop circle was used as a layer under one flower and the large scallop oval and large Oval have been used for the layered sentiment. You can find this in the stamp set called Oval All. I have also used more stamps from the same set for the background on the card base.  The spritzing tool is brilliant for adding  instant vintage to your projects, and the newsprint designer paper helps as well.

For the little treat I used a brown coffee bag, the edge was scalloped using the scallop border punch and as decorations I added a strip of the newsprint paper again and did a  bit more stamping.

For the closure I stamped another daisy and folded some Victoria lace trim, some spotty ribbon and some thin grosgrain and sandwiched them between the daisy and a scallop circle shape. The the whole thing was attached to the bag with a fun clip.

I will be back with loads more examples is definitely a fun floral set to play with and its quite versatile, if you fancy it please drop me a line i would be happy to order it for you.

Thank you for bearing with me see you again tomorrow.

Big hugs xxx
