Hello there I am quickly updating you while the Thermie is cooking our creamy rissotto and steamed salmon for dinner.
Our next two projects on Saturday were both inspired by our current Stampin’Up! catalogue.
I wanted to make on of these ever since I saw the catalogue for the first time. And it was ear wigged for my sister, she loves displaying my papercrafts in her home and over the years I made her LOTS ( I love that she is my biggest fan).
And then I toyed with the idea of offering it as a class to my event. However I had a hard time finding pretty frames within the budget (pretty frames are not cheap) and gave up on the idea until March when I came across these beauties by chance. Once I realized the price was right, it was a deal!!!
We used Comfort Cafe designer papers and the frames were backed with the Tea for Two fabric collection.
Our third project that day was a little tea gift box and matching card.
You will find my inspiration behind this project on the page 56 of the Stampin’Up! catalogue. I designed the lid a bit differently and made a sliding acetate lid this way the top decoration stays intact.
And we filled those with yummy Tea Pigs in three different flavours. If you are into your tea I am almost sure you tried these superior bags if you haven’t yet please do and prepare to be addicted :)
Melon mambo, So Saffron and Midnight muse were the colours used and the Tea Shoppe stamp set was the perfect candidate.

I worked the ladies hard this weekend, but we made sure we took it easy as well to explore the grounds and enjoy yummy cream afternoon teas on the terrace or inside.
What I loved the most was seeing people mix during break times and at dinner and form new friendships all the time. I heard comments from people who experienced the first event like:
I didn’t think you could top September but you did. and I expect the reason for that is that people met on the last one so it was like meeting your friends again. I couldn’t have asked for a group of better ladies I really miss them all :)
The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful at Monk Fryston Hall. This venue really is a proper hideaway from all the hustle and bustle in a quiet secluded village, no traffic noise or any noise apart from the ones 34 excited crafters made, its just perfect for us :)
Right I will be back tomorrow sharing a bonus class I offered the ladies during our pyjama party.

Again, you dragged me out of my comfort zone and I loved it! I have a plan for adapting the tea box for a class of my own, it's fab!

ReplyDeleteMonica I have to tell you how much I've enjoyed seeing and hearing all about this weekend. My cousin, Helen, has raved about it! As a Canadian SU demonstrator x 10 years (retired now) I know the amount of work that goes into something like this and you have knocked this one out of the park! I am blown away by the amount of work you put into everything from the little gifts to the decorations on the table to the fantastic projects! And I was delighted to spot my cousin in one of your photos, as getting a photo of her is VERY hard to do - so well done! :) Fingers crossed our paths will cross next year!
