Hello again, this is what the room looked when we entered Saturday morning ( I will never tire of this beautiful room with the fabulous history)
Crappy picture as yet again I forgot my camera at home :(. The centrepieces were created with twisted hazel (from my garden) in glass jars filled with chunky gravel. They matched the earthy feel of the storage baskets that housed the crafting goodies for each attendee. On Friday night the twigs were bare with just some little tea lights added. By the morning they bloomed with fabby two tone dyed crepe filter paper blooms. They turned out so pretty, each bloom was sprayed with 2 colours and it only took myself and Netty 40 minutes to do 8 tables, thank you for your help Netty :). I also dyed some of our cotton ribbon added to the baskets to match the table decorations.
The first project was a stationery set using the very sweet Summer Solstice stamp set.
This set is sooo pretty and I bet you overlooked in the catalogue :). I did to start off and then I saw it and saw its potential. I cannot wait to show you what else I made with it, projects that didn’t make the Retreat not because they were not pretty but because they were not suited in terms of time, amount of people etc. Its’ an exact science planning successfully for an event on this scale LOL
Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi were the colours used and the lid made from our beautiful card stock vellum was stamped with the distressed polka dot background.
I have two kits left over complete with everything you need to make this apart from the ink pads. You can purchase one NOW for £ 17.00 posted. Email me at telemech01@aol.com to reserve one :)
Right I will be back tomorrow with our third Creative Class of the weekend. I had a few emails about the September 2013 Retreat. As it stands of right now I only have 4 spaces left but I am advertising those spaces internally first, then if any become available I will pop them here on the blog. And I am also looking at ways of adding a repeat one :).
Thank you for stopping by I will see you again tomorrow. Hugs xx
