Helooooooooooooooooooooo.
Goodness me you must be wondering where did I disappear this last few days? As I am sure you know already, life is full of unexpected twists and turns and I was forced to leave the country at very short notice and attend a family tragedy. One of my dearest people on this Earth passed away last Wednesday. Maria was not only my cousin but like a second sister to me and I am so glad I got there in time to say my goodbye :) . She was an amazing person who taught me so much I will miss her dearly my whole life.
I desperately wanted to update you in this time and for one reason or the other (mainly internet access) I couldn’t until today.
The first thing I need to tell you about is the online service, sadly the launch didn’t go as smoothly as planned and this new service is temporarily unavailable until further notice. The IT department are working hard to reinstate it and I will make sure to update you again as soon as its up and running. THANK YOU to those that managed to place orders via my online shop in the short time it was live, I was glad to see it working so well. Meanwhile I am happy to receive your orders like I always did by email or by phone.
I have a sweet little duo to share with you today. This was a gift I sent to a dear friend of mine for her birthday.
The Tea for Two designer papers are still my favourite current papers and I paired them here with good ol Crumb Cake.
I chose to work with the pinks in these papers and decided to create some Ombre ruffles for the Dress Up framelits.
Ombre means shadow in French and it refers to graduating shades of the same colour arranged from dark to light or vice versa. I used my markers (what would I do without them?) to add colour to the lovely coffee filter paper, and used 3 shades of pink, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. Once I added the colour I spritzed the paper with some alcohol to get the colours to run slightly and this is how I obtained this pretty effect for my ruffles.
The oversized gray ribbon stops this colour combo being to mushy I feel and it satisfies my love of bow tying, you can tie a super bow out of this wider ribbon.
There are lots more products used on these two projects and if you wish to find more about anything please email me at telemech01@aol.com.
Thank you for your visit today and I hope to see you again soon. Till then as always BIG massive hugs, I really missed you and missed blogging as well :).
Sorry to hear of your loss monica. Gorgeous card, love the colour combo.
