Stamp To Share Blog Hop- Masculine Cards

Hello everyone and welcome to a new Stamp To Share Blog Hop. This time we are sharing masculine cards, yiiikes!!!
I know, I know we card makers are ok playing with pretty stuff but few of us actually enjoy the task of making male cards, I bet part of it must be because they just glance at message inside, then they file it on the mantle piece. Or is this just me??
So I agonised about what I shall do for a while then the juices started flowing. Here's what I came up with

I haven't previously inked my High Tide Stamp Set so this was the perfect opportunity, can you say hooked??? What a brilliant set !! You have to get it if you haven't yet.

I made a square card, measuring 14.5cm x 14.5cm and stamped my background directly onto some designer paper. Now the eagle eye amongst you might wonder which papers I used. They are in the new Catalogue released at beginning of June. A brilliant mix of realistic wood textures.

I wanted a whitewashed, bleached effect and I am quite pleased with the result unless you look too closely to the lighthouse. I totally got my stamps and colours mixed up, but hey I am no self proclaimed perfectionist.

Another sneak peak is this adorable wooden crate !!! Yiiiikes, is such a little cutie, love it so much and can see this getting a LOT of use. I used some more of that new paper for an instant wooden crate and created a very simple ring buoy using the 1" and 1 1/2" circle punches.

Here's a side view of the fabby crate and the amazing texture and 3d effect of the card.  Are you ready for Father's Day yet? I hope I have given you some ideas, any dad would love this adorable duo on the 16th June.
Thank you so much for joining me today, now make sure you go and visit the lovely Amy and check out her creations.
Till next time,
XOXO
Monica
