Incredible Like You

Hello again, I hope you had a good weekend and a good start of the week. My intention was to blog this yesterday, but what do you know the day ran out with me so here I am a day later. Monday's are always so busy, do you find that? 

Today I am sharing a Birthday Card I made for my lovely friend Alison.

And I turned to the fabulous kit Incredible like You, to help me out. I love, love, love this kit but I needed my card to be a little more special so I choose to beef it up a little to create a larger size. (14.5cm x 14.cm)

The colours in this kit are so pretty, my base is Lovely Lipstick and a layer of Coastal Cabana was added to the edge. I stamped a bit of a background using the coordinating stamp set then I simply cut one of the card bases and adhered to my card base. 

Now, can we please talk a little about this beautiful laser cut top layer? it matches the watercoloured design perfectly. And because of the bold design there really wasn't much more this card needed in order to give it that WOW factor. A few gold splatters with the shimmer paint and a little bow made with the tulle polka dot ribbon was all that it needed.

I hope you enjoyed Ali's card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Be Inspired Blog HOP

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today.
I am Blog Hopping with some of my favourite global Stampin'Up! designers and I am excited about this round as our theme was set to, Be Inspired by.... fashion !!

Yiiikeees and Gosh what do I choose ??? were my words of choice as I've first heard about it. My first port of call? The Anthropologie's website. They never fail to inspire me and sure enough I found something that made me all giddy and be like... I can totally do that in a card !!

Here's my inspiration picture,

This gorgeous journal  not only inspired my card today it also made his way home to me along with a few gorgeous tops (oops). Once I had this starting picture the rest was easy..Here's what my project looks like

The Foam brayers allowed me to achieve the gradient look and the inks used were Mango Melody, Lovely Lipstick and Merry Merlot.  Once my piece was sponged I splashed a few drops of water to add some extra interest and texture to the piece. Its a big deal in card making all this splashing but I have to say it adds fabulous effects to your stamped works of art, I really like it.

Then it was time for the gold "Hello" which comes from the Calligraphy Essentials Stamp set . This word is an outline and I used a blender pen and some Versamark reinker to fill in the outline and gold emboss for an all over look.


After tying some white bakers twine around I still felt it needed something more. I loved the gold edge on the spine of the journal so decided that some gold elements were needed. I cut out this lovely piece from the Botanical Bliss set of framelits , cute little birds on branches which I ended up cutting in to two pieces and dotted them around my. And I think they just finished off the job beautifully.

Buy Stampin Up Delightfully Detailed Suite 

TGIF peeps !!! I hope you are looking forward to the weekend. I have tons of work around the home to catch up with after a few days away this week so its going to be a busy one. 

I am sharing another wonderful example made with the Delightfully Detailed Suite from Stampin'Up! 

You will have seen the card I blogged here using the same Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut designer, this time I used some of the matts this pack offers and made this card in a snap.

The bold flower was created using the Daisy Punch and the leaves were punched out of Mint Macaron Card using the Leaf Punch by Stampin' Up!

The gorgeous Tulle Polka Dot ribbon is one you will see me use a lot over this coming year, I simply love the texture it adds to projects while taking very little space visually. 

The lovely sentiment comes from the matching Stamp Set called Detailed with love , stamped in Mint Macaron ink and cut out using the Stitched Framelits.

Delightfully Detailed

Stampin Up! Delightfully Detailed Dragonfly Dreams Special Card Ideas
Hello there,
I really hope your week is going well? Did you have a good look at the new catalogue? What is your favourite product so far?

One of the things I absolutely love is that Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Speciality Paper. Have you seen it? its simply gorgeous ..

This card could not be more simple but it has such a WOW and that little busy bee from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set just stands out against the delicate filigree Large Letters  sentiment.

After I cut the letters out from the Whisper White card I have lightly sponged some So Saffron ink directly onto the card base then adhered a few pieces of  Delightfully Detailed laser paper behind them.

Another new product I love is this gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle ribbon *oh my* its just to die for. I simply wrapped it around the matt layer of my card to achieve some extra texture and frame my sentiment. Of course that little bee is just beautiful and after stamping it in black and colouring it I couldn't help myself adding a little black bakers twine to emphasis it further. That little detail just made it.
