SHOES!!

Yes I love shoes!!!! which is why I bought this stamp sometimes last year (in fact it was summer time ( shock!!)) and never actually used till this weekend, I ve managed another cybercrop class this last weekend and it was one posted by the talented Marlene under the title *The Devil Wear Prada* this was her class, really beautiful and the technique showcased was paper piecing. Now this is the card I ve made in a record 35 minutes LOL.

Marlene card featured a beautiful elegant shoe and a classy red and black theme. Now I ve agonized in my craft room for ages cos I didn't seem to have any shoe stamps suitable apart from one that came in a Gogo kit last year which is lovely but a bit small for what I need it. Found this beauty is a Rubber Romance image and is HUGE really really big and if you ve not got a juicy pad a nightmare to ink properly as well. But I love how it turned up even though I forgot one important detail..............to piece something??????????/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep my plan was to oiece her shoes and the handbag, but I was racing against the time to finish it and get it up before the 4 o clock deadline, I completly forgot so needless to say I ve uploaded a card for a challenge where I didnt fulfill the one blooming detail I had to........ what an idiot I feel like !! hee hee never mind I still like the card. Sentiment from Stamping Bella coloured using Prismas. I m still cake ing away but I ve manage to do another video tut just have to edit it and I ll put it up, is a good un!!! HUGS M xxx

Bedazzled

That's what I ve been with this fantabulos class by Nat over on UKS, you can find the class here and it involved sewing beads. I ve recently managed to bag myself the beautiful beautiful SU Garden Shillouette set from the level 2 hostess. I wanted this for so long and now is finally mine. It was only fair I ve showed it some action and I was delighted when I ve seen Nat s idea, she used a very similar set from PTI. Anyway this is what I came up with and I love it!!!

I ve used Pumpkin Pie Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue as my colour scheme, I ve used my SU markers to ink the stamp ( Choc Chip for the branch, Cert Cel. and Old Olive for leaves, and Pumpkin Pie for the blooms) found some orange seed beads in my stash and those were the only size suitable so had to work around the orange but I m so pleased of how it turned out. Used the border punch again and found some really punchy orange wide satin ribbon and looped this around a coil shape from the Hodpodge Hardware, here s a more angled shotRight off to bake and make some cakes I desperately need to have finished by Friday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend M xx

Cybercrop swap

Yep that s right I ve joined another swap lol !!! It was the handmade card swap over on UKS and we had to make 5 cards plus tags and a box to keep it all in. So here s what I ve came up with
Numero uno SU Happy Hearts was used to make an anniversary card, really simple but striking made by the colour combo. All the cards in this set use the same or a combinations of those four colours Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White. My most favorite combo for sure. Used the scalloped border punch and the CB embossing folder. Sentiment from the Cheers and Wishes set. Second was a birthday themed one This sweet cupcake comes from the Big Bold Birthday by SU, and I ve used the hundred and thousands stamp to stamp my background straight on the card blank, some glitter was added for extra sparkle. Third one a general one could be used for a couple of occasions I ve actually used pretty in pink for this card and is my least favorite, I think the background is too light and a bit unbalanced but I was running out of time and I was already late for the posting deadline. I hope my swapee forgets me. Set used is Cheers to You by SU. Number four was this little sweetie Now I likie this one a lot. A solid flower from the level three hostess set Heartfelt was stamped randomly in Cert.Celery, Reg. Rose and Red Rose my favorite accents some half backed pearls, and a round sentiment from the Circle of Friendship was created with the aid of the round punches 1", 1 3/8" and 1 1/4". Spotty dotty organza ribbon ( not SU) adds some punch to this gorgeous colour combo. Last card is the most striking of the bunch I ve used the In the Spotlight hostess set and I love it!! Is my most used one and is so versatile for cards as well as scrapbooks, sentiment from Simply Sent and the Cert. Celery layer was embossed with the CB striped embossing folder.
Now for the box I was going a total different direction, then yesterday ended up blog hopping and ended up on Jennie s blog, she had made one of those boxes which was a much better idea for my cards so I immediately set to work, three attempts later and I ve made this

only to realise it was far too small for my heavily layered cards, so I ended up making another one to fit using an A4 sheet of card stock as supposed to 8.5" x 11". I ve made the clasp with the 1/2 " circle punch, three for you punch both from SU and some brads. You just wind the ribbon or cord to keep the box shut. I hope the girl these went to will like them, I ve also made some tags but run out of time to photograph them. Hugs M xx

I M SO SORRY !!!!

I ve made a mistake with my dates, the free p&p finishes tonight 20of April 2008 at 11pm and not on the 27 of April DOH!! So there s still a few hours to get stocked up.

I ve got something to show while I m here, and is a very quick card I ve made after being inspired by some of Julie s papers she was working with at the local crop I ve been ( I m saying local is local ish as is about 1 hour drive). The papers were from Craftwork Crafts and I can feel a spree coming on. Anyway here s my card

I ve used Kraft card stock as my blank ( I wish we could buy it in individual packs), and you might not be able to see it I ve stamped on the lower half with versamark the Canvas background, the strip was made using the fabulous spiral punch and the flowers from the Heartfelt set were stamped in Taken with Teal, Creamy caramel and Certainly Celery, a white pearl in the middle and a sentiment completes this very quick to make card. Hugs M xx

Ok then, my first card is the one where I ve used the chalks to higlight my main image and I ve had so many lovely responses from it, I m glad you liked it, I think chalk get a bit overlooked so hopefully you ll have a go at using them more.

Ok so I ve usedbashful blue cardbase, stamped the En francaise background from SU onto Whisper White with Cert. Celery, a Pumpkin Pie layer of cardstock was embossed with the textile CB embossing folder, it was then sponged with more Pumpkin Pie ink, Bashful blue taffeta ribbon, and Old Olive was punched with the Threading Water punch from Fiskars, the oval was cut with the Nestabilities die and the scallop was made using the same scallop punch that I ve used for the border as I havent bought the scalloped nesties cos I ve figured i could only use my scallop scissors or like shown here the border punch, so I saved a few pennies didnt I?lol

Next is that naughty frog that just didn twant to spin for me, it really showed be up didnt he? Is a good job I really like him otherwise I could have done him some harm with a pair of sharp scissors.

Cutie Pie papers, the So saffron layer was stamped with So saffron ink and the edges were sponged with same. It does spin now just fine, and you ll have to take my word for it. LOL

HUGS and stampin kisses M xx

Hi everybody this is just a quick post to let you know that I ve started an april stampers 10 club, so if you ve missed out on the others you know get a chance to be in one. Each member in turn get to be the hostess for one month benefiting by the free stamp set and free money to spend on merchandise of her/his choice. The clubs are a nice way of building your SU stash while spreading the costs but still receiving the benefits without having to spend all the money at once. Let me know if this is something you would like to be part of on telemech01@aol.com Hugs M xx
I ve got another video for you but I dont think it works so you will have to bear with me. HUGS M xx ETA. My video should be ready for viewing HERE... phew!!! I am so very sorry is so bad in places, I need to revise my techniques. Sorry M xx

Lucky to work fo Scrap a gogo

I am, I really am and I mean it!!! I get a fabulous kit delivered to my house every month full of gorgeouness that I don t have to sweat over, colour coordinating it. Everything in there matches so all I have to do is play around and make it into little works of art, at least that s what I m trying to achieve lol. And this last kit gave me just that, the wonderful opportunity to play with yum papers and a lovely stamp...oh it is so cute. My first card is this one

A cute waterfall using this months stamp. It was so much fun to create the different looking trees and wanted to display them all so that s why I ve ended up doing a waterfall card.

My next project was this delightful little card

Sweet and If I was freshly in love this is the card I would give him. I love it, I also used my handwriting for a more personal touch.

This next one is my most favorite, I just love the colours( I love red!!) and that fabulous padded brad was exquisite that s what this kits are all about new fresh product with unusual finds I love that!!

Not much layering going on, apart from the focal point which I ve layered to an inch of is life lol, all topped off with that gorgeous brad.

A birthday duo was next, created with the stamps again, in nice bright colours

See the fine strands that form the ribbon? I ve made them using my guillotine just finely cut card stock and then tie it in a bow it is surprisingly strong and so much fun. I ve used a few of the cute die cuts to add my sentiments.
My final projects were Christmas cards (shock!!) I just couldn't help it, It became obvious when I ve started playing with the leaf stamp that I could easily create a wreath complete with red berries and the got a bit carried away and created a whole TREE!! lol
I ve added the tartan ribbon from my stash. Those kits are selling like mad every month so fi you re ready to join us have a look here. See ya !!! M xx

Tracy s card

This is a card I ve made for Tracy s birthday. She is a very talented crafter and a wondeful person( hence the sentiment on my card) so the pressure was on for me to create something beautiful and worthy for her special day, I just hope she will like it. I ve had those images from the Touch of nature set ( page 44) stamped for me by a fellow demo a while ago and I forgot all about them, and flicking through the SU catalogue to look for a suitable set and came across it and I was drawn to the beautiful butterfly, I initially planned to use 2 of them as my focal images but it was not to be and i ended up using the flower and just one butterfly instead. I rather like how it turned out and BOY do i need this set, is beautiful!! I ve made a cool background using some ink and one of the Cuttle bug embossing folder and my new Fiskars scalloped border punch that I ve had for 3 weeks and only just got round using it. I ve made a quick video tutorial on the Cuttle bug background so if you ve not seen it already Enjoy!!!!

And if you want to pop over to Tracy s blog and wish her Happy Birthday here s the link to her blog?
Ok to watch this tutorial click here, I ,m having dificulties getting in my post for some reason.. See ya M xx
