Sympathy card..

Hello how have you been today? I cannot believe its Wednesday already, today I have been prepping for our team training tomorrow i cannot wait to catch up with the girlies again.

My sister asked if I could make  her a sympathy card as one of her colleagues at work lost her mum. So I dug out the Simply Soft hostess stamp set.

simply soft

Somehow I cannot stop using the framelits they add so much to a project. Here I chose to cut two layers of the same colour and elevate them using dimensionals. The background has a bit of embossing, the stripes folder was used to add some chunky lines to the bottom half and some tone on tone stamping was applied to the top half. A layer of card stock vellum was embossed with the Polka Dot folder after a decorative edge  was added with the eyelet border punch. The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set and it was punched out with the 1 1/4”circle punch.

The set is a two step stamping set just like the Reason to Smile set on offer this month and I stamped the outline image in black and the solid flowers in Pool Party. The leaves were coloured using a Certainly Celery marker.

Here’s the products used :All Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.

Stamps: Simply soft hostess set and Petite pairs

Inks: Basic Black ink, Pool Party ink certainly Celery marker.

Card stock: Whisper White and Pool Party

Accessories: Framelits, Big shot machine, eyelet border punch, word window, dazzling diamonds, organza ribbon.

many thanks for stopping by see you again tomorrow, till then big hugs xxx
