Birthday Passionette

Hello there how is your weekend going? Today is Susan’s Happy Day !!  and I made her a card that incorporated her favourite colour, teal. Island Indigo is a gorgeous shade of teal and I looked at the colour coach for a suggested combination. It came with Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry.

Here is Susan’s card

susan

I made this card at the same time as made Issy’s and I was clearly  in Array of Sunshine Mode . I really like this hostess set from the main Stampin Up Catalogue.

The blooms were inked in either Baja Breeze or Pear Pizzaz ink  then rolled into the Island Indigo ink pad, this gave me the 2 tone effect.

The Rich Razzleberry layer was embossed using the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and the Big Shot machine. The corners were punched with the  Scallop Trim corner punch.

The Oval frame folder was embossed in Whisper White card stock and torn at the edges, the sentiment from the Flight of the butterfly was stamped inside it.

The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzaz and white satin ribbon completed the look. Happy Birthday dear Susan I do hope you had a great day.

Right time to get cozied up on the sofa, we had a wonderful scrapbook club session tonight and the girls spoiled me rotten with gifts flowers and stunning cards and I tried to spoil them back with a version of my famous Limoncello cake, I say a version as it had no Limoncello in it, however it did have just the right amount of Dissarono  Red heart.

I will make sure I’ll share my gifts and cards on here, oh and the wedding cake as well Smile

Till then big hugs and enjoy your weekend. xx

Stampin’Up! Everything Eleanor

Hello there WOW! are you enjoying the Summer like weather? I am a bit to much if I am honest, I have found a renewed energy and been busy with lots of things around the home and garden as well as keeping up with work.

So much so that I completely forgot to post yesterday so here I am  with Jo Jo’s card and gift.

jo jo s

Jo-Jo is such a sweet friend to me and she loves the Everything Eleanor stamp set so I knew I wanted to use this for her card. At Convention last year I received some beautiful card candy using this set from Linz one of my Passionettes and I copied a few of her elements for this card. Its a bit over the top to what I normally make but I just carried away with it and to my mind birthdays are like Christmas, the more fabulousness the better Smile.

Here are the flowers close up

jo jo close

The papers I have used for these projects are the yummy Spice Cake and some Mocha Morning just because the soft suede colour can be found in both sets so they are perfectly married.

The very vanilla satin ribbon flower is just gorgeous topped with an antique brad and the stamped flowers got the same treatment.

A bit of lace trim and a sentiment from the Petite Pairs completes the whole look.

I went a bit further and wrapped Jo’s little gift in the same Spice Cake papers topped with a monogramed rosette

jo jo gift

Stamped monogram using the Broadsheet Alphabet and behind the rosette 2 soft suede punched shapes using the Decorative Label punch.

I hope you like my offering see you again soon. Till then big hugs xxx

Stampin Up! Array of Sunshine

Hello and Happy New start of the week!! Oh dear there are only a few days of March left and this also means that Sale a bration comes to an end, so you will have to be quick if you still have some FREE stamps on your wish list. Also if you ever thought about becoming a demonstrator then DO IT this week there isn’t a better time for you to sign up the starter kit contains just short of £300 worth of product for ONLY £119. Everything in the kit is fully customisable which means you get to choose what you like instead of what SU suggest as a fab starter kit. I will also add a sweet welcome gift to that starter kit if you join our team and become a  Passionette. You can read more about it here and you can contact me anytime if you need more info or would like to have an honest chat about it all.

Now let me thank you all for your lovely comments about the latest cake, I am so glad you liked it and fear not by the end of this week I will have another one to show as I am working on a totally different style one this week.

So the weekend in Northern Ireland was just AMAZING!! I have loved meeting with so many demonstrators especially meeting Tracy for the first time, my lovely Irish Passionette. The day was full of information, inspiration and everyone was so friendly, they definitely made us feel very welcome.

I did manage to do a bit of crafting last week as two of my close friends celebrated their birthdays.

issy s card

This was Issy’s duo, both projects made using the stamp set Array of Sunshine a hostess only set from the main catalogue. The combo sweet and girly Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink with a hint of Old Olive.

For the flower I stamped the image three times but only inking the stamp once, so I got three shades of the same colour pink, this is very easy to achieve with our ink pads as they are so well pigmented

close card

They were cut out and raised on dimensionals. Sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The pizza style box held some yummy chocs and was decorated similarly

issy s box

only this time I added some Pool Party designer paper to the Mambo base. The Pretty in pink sating ribbon was ruffled all the way across the lid of the box and the flower popped up on dimensionals again.

I hope you like Issy’s goodies see you tomorrow with more.

Till then big hugs xxx

WEDDING CAKE

Hello there from Northern Ireland. I am quickly blogging before getting out the door for breakfast. I am here for  Northern Ireland Regional Tour with Stampin’Up! and yesterday before catching my flight I had to deliver and set up the wedding cake I worked on for nearly a week.

It was a big one with LOTS of sugar flowers, they did keep me busy for quite a while Smile

cake

It was busy but dreamy and suited the young Bride really well. I just hope they liked it. It had it all sugar flowers, swags and bows, piped detail, you can even spot glittered Baja Breeze butterflies. I have this edible glitter that looks lize dazzling diamonds so that was a bonus.

flutters

Each petal cut and worked individually before attaching to form a rose. Tiny butterflies were positioned strategically on the cake as well as wired one poking from flower sprays.

cake close

I was pleased with it but I was ready to see the back of it once it was set up Cards are so much easier to create Smile

And I loved the idea of setting the table plan on a gilded ornate mirror.

I hope you likey sorry for the short post but I need to dash I cannot wait to meet our Northern Ireland group of demonstrators and spend the day with them. Till next time big hugs xxx

Hello there my lovely readers Smile. Its been a very busy weekend doing the Harrogate Show and I am just about recovered. The Show was wonderful as ever even if a bit quieter on Sunday (having the show coincide with Mother’s Day didn’t help I am sure). Now is confession time I haven’t taken one single photograph or video for you!! I know how bad is that? normally we arrive an hour earlier and have a brief, enjoy a coffee and some breakfast and make sure everything looks right, take the video tour and a few photographs and off we go.
This time round we hosted the morning workshops so it meant that after we arrived at 8am we went straight to work to set up for the workshops then by the time we finished the show was already open.
The project everyone made was a lovely banner that was one of our make n takes at Convention. I loved this project so much.

The colours are just gorgeous together. Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy paired with the lovely newsprint designer paper.
The bunting is made using the ever so versatile Petal Cone Die and Fun Flowers Bigz die.
All the stamped images came from the Creative Elements stamp set  and below you can see how we used markers to add more than one colour to the sentiment.

Easter Blossom Stampin’Up!

Hellooo, its set up day for the Harrogate Show today and its going to be a quick post.
I am sharing the last card we made in the Stamp Club last Sunday.  A while ago a sweet fellow demonstrator Maria showcased a fabulous group of cards on her blog made using the Easter Blossom stamp set and a cool technique that I haven’t visited in ages, the faux mother of pearl.  I was inspired to create this card
march class tech
Colours a bit unexpected Smile,  Melon Mambo, More Mustard designer paper and Certainly Celery.
We used glossy card stock and sponged it with Frost White Shimmer Paint, we then brayered the background with Bashful Blue ink. The branch was then stamped in Staz on ink and coloured using a blender pen and a Melon mambo reinker.
And here’s a sneak peek to the gorgeous cherry branch, not sure you can see the sheen from the shimmer paint on the surface but it is there I promise

Thank you Maria for inspiring me and thank you for popping on to visit me today. Hope to see you again soon, if you are attending the Harrogate Show this weekend, pop in and see us Smile. Big  hugs to you all xx

Stampin’Up! Sprinkled Expression FREE set

Good morning are you having a relaxing weekend? or an energetic one? I am in my pj’s still but as soon as I finish this I am off to get sorted. I am baking today for our class tomorrow Smile and finish off preparing for it.

I am sharing a card that was made with FREE stamps today.

team congrats_

I made a bunch of this and some thank you cards with my lovely friend Carol this week(thank you honey). They are for my team who achieved promotions.

The card uses the Sprinkled Expression Free Sale a bration set available till the end of this month. the colours are Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

I have punched away half of a tiny circle in the main panel to make room for the seam binding ribbon , just slots in better. I use that trick a  lot on my cards. Winking smile

The pumpkin pie designer paper is from the Brights Designer Stack from Stampin’Up! and the sentiment was punched and layered using the 1 1/4” and 1 3/8” circle punches.

I have also decorated a small pot of antique brads to go with the cards

team congrats 1

Simply topped the lid with a 3 dimensional flower made with the luscious Berry Blossom die from the Mini catalogue.

A little filigree heart

Hello there I hope you are well today.
I was looking through my files for something to share with you today and came across a card I designed for our January team training.
I had seen a lot of pretty cards made with laser cut filigree accents. And it got me thinking then I wondered if using Stampin’ Up’s lace border punch and a heart window would give me the wanted effect,
tech
Well it did work and so this card was born. Pool party, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade with my fave neutral of them all Crumb Cake. I think I would like to try this again and maybe do 3 hearts in a row with bright designer paper behind it, hmm I might have to give it a go.
Another card at the same training was a Valentine one, I know that’s been and gone but I thought you might like to see it anyhow.
v day
I still love this birdie punch and it works so well with the You Are Loved set for the mini catalogue.
The colours here are Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Pool Party and that ruffled Lucky Limeade ribbon. There is also a bit of red glimmer paper, I used the itty bitty punch to add some sparkle to this sweet card.
And I promised you and the girls that attended last scrapbook club  that I will show you a few of the scrapbook designs, I didn’t take pictures of everyone’s but here’s a few of them.
Here’s Rebecca’s
IMG_0393   IMG_0394
Rebecca is our youngest member and she often puts her mum and auntie to shame, she is very creative and very focused in class. This pages will have pictures of Rebecca’s BBF, love it !! Smile
Next is sweet Linda
IMG_0386     IMG_0391
I bet you can’t guess who’s pictures she is going to add to these pages LOL
Next are Louise’s pages
IMG_0396              IMG_0395
I love the fact that Louise decided to scrap her  favourite name for her adorable son , after Luca he is my favourite little boy I know, such a cutie pie. We did laugh at the thought of Thomas seeing these pages when he is older I can only imagine how embarrassed he would be, but I also know that once he will be a grown up adult with children of his own he would look fondly at this page, that’s what scrapbooking is all about .
Issy’s pages are documenting her favourite places to visit, I could fill a few pages with my fave spots to visit, I so long for a holiday right now Ahhh..
IMG_0390    IMG_0384
And then we have Lindsay’s. This one melts my heart
IMG_0389
Lindsay(Rebecca’s mummy) decided to scrap a precious photo of her first born son. This was the first time they got to held Mathew who was born very premature.
One of Ali’s pages never got to take a picture of her second one
IMG_0392
And this is all I have got of Linda’s pages, she will  fill these pages with photos of her scrumptious little grandaughter...
IMG_0381
sorry to those that haven’t got their photos featured it must have been because you were to slow to finish them mwahahah
thank you so much for stopping by hope to see you again soon.
