Birthday Passionette

Hello everyone how is your weekend going? and are you or the men in your life following the rugby on the telly? I have a husband who is in danger of deep rooting into the settee today :), rugby is his passion for sure.

I am showing you a card I made for one of my lovely downlines, who celebrates her special day today :) Its been a while since I managed to blog a birthday on the actual day.

Yesterday myself and Carol had a great session brainstorming some special treats for the ladies attending the PapeRie Treat at the end of April. We had great fun and we accomplished quite a bit, it also made me so giddy, I simply cannot wait for it to come now but still A LOT of work to go before then.

Alison’s Birthday Card got finished and sent and I am glad to say that she received it this morning :).

I wanted to make a dress in a window shop ever since I bought the DRESS UP set of framelits, and finally I got round to it.

At first I was trying to make my window using the top note die but it just wasn’t ornate enough for me (I am deffo a more is more type of girl) and then I clapped eyes on this fabulous paper from the Print Poetry designer stack. Isn’t it just gorgeous? The inner piece was cut out and the aperture backed  with a piece of acetate. The fabby couture skirt was created from the chic flower trim and placed behind the window. Now I need to tell you that I built the dimensionals quite a bit for this, I used 3 layers deep so that  the frame sat on top of the skirt properly.

The sentiment is from the Curly Cute set , and yes is stamped on yet another banner. I find it very hard to stop using those banners with a fishtail edge, I think I am addicted.

Because of the pesky acetate and the glare from the roof of our conservatory it was quite hard to take a close up but here’s the best of the bunch. I wonder how much trim do you think I would need to make myself one of these skirts? be nice now, I know exactly what your first thought was LOL.

Right enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you again soon. Till next time Hugs and Mwah’s.
