Vintage Verses

Hello there I am back again can you believe  it? :)

I am trying hard to build the blogging momentum again, in January I took the decision of trying to get better at this time management lark and the whole life/work balance. I now  stop work on my business at 5 pm religiously every day. I managed to stick to it so far (bar 2 occasions) but this meant that I fell behind with everything until I got used to it all and adjusted to the new system.  As you know my blogging was one of the things that lagged behind, I almost always used to blog late in the day usually at night time so my 5 pm enforced curfew really took its toll on this aspect of my business . But I think I have cracked it so hopefully you should see me getting back to some sort of frequent posting :)

And today I am sharing a  card I designed for our Quarterly Team Training back in January. It features a neat technique and a few tips on making your own repositionable masks.

technique

As you can see we made a mask using the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits Die. We cut a layer out of card stock vellum (if you haven’t tried this yet please do is a fabulous weight) for our mask then added a layer of Multipurpose glue to the back of it, spread it thinly and let it dry this will give you  repositionable mask that you can use over and over again, quite clever :)

Here it has been used with the fabby Vanilla smooch spritz. Sparkle and pattern in one go!!

The sentiment from the FREE SAB offering was stamped, cut out then crumpled to provide extra texture.

A few elements were punched out and layered to create that vintage feel. Here’s a closer view of the focal elements on the card

The glimmer paper added a touch of glamour to the unusual combo, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry and Sahara Sand.

Thank you for stopping by see you again soon. Till then HUGS XX
