Poorly pants and Christmas Club
Sunday we had Christmas Club and I did all my organizing before I left for my holiday except the cutting and packing of the kits. On Saturday night Laura and BIL helped me and we managed to cut and bag 112 kits in just over an hour.
Here’s the cards everyone made in this session, we had a lot of fun, and just like always I was to buys chatting to take any photos, especially as my sister joined the class. She loved it and didn’t need much help at all, I am working on her to sign up as a demo .
Wild Wasabi, Real Red and crisp Whisper White. A very traditional card and a fun selective embossing technique.
Second one using the fun Quilted Background made in Cherry Cobbler and using scraps of the Jolly Holly designer paper. This card was inspired by my lovely downline Linz, she made a similar swap at our Christmas in July event.
Third one was our punch art but I warm you dreadful picture coming up.
Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, I saw various examples of this card on the net and modify it to suit my needs. Is a very elegant card picture does not show it well.
And finally my fave one, is my own design from a swap I made last year for our Peterborough Christmas in July Event.
Everyone got to make 2 cards of each design and they got envelopes with their cards as well. We are building a nice collection of cards already and I am so excited to have a stash made ahead of time this year. If you want to join us the next one is 25 September right on Anne’s W. birthday *wink*.
Ok I am off to my duvet even though I have so much to do, but I am feeling to rotten. However before I go I want to show you my first batch of home made bread in the Thermomix if you even made bread you will know how long it takes and how much mess you have left behind. I will tell you that this lot took 2 minutes to weigh combine and knead a further 20 min rising and 20 min cooking. Oh and everything was done in one bowl that cleaned itself !!!
And the inside
I have been baking fresh bread every day.

Birthday Passionette..
Hello there today is Vicky’s Happy Birthday!! I will be very short with this post as this is a scheduled one and by the time you read it I will hopefully be enjoying the last day of a Summer break in sunny Greece. I will update you very soon but for now let's concentrate on the card I made for sweet Vicky!!
Vicky's favourite colour is Pink and the card I made her has plenty of that.
the combo I settled on is River Rock, Pretty In pink and Basic Gray. I have used the Big Shot big time on this card.
I have used the Fun Flowers bigz die and the little sizzlet called little leaves. I have also used the Medallion background and the Curly Cute stamp set for the sentiment. I topped a button with pearls for a lovely centrepiece for the flower and a few more lines of pearls were used as decorations.
I have also used some Melon mambo dsp for the flowers to add a extra splash of colour. hope you liked your card Vicky enjoy your special day.
Thank you for visiting me see you very soon , hugs xx

Beware Pirates -Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hmm men cards are never easy are they? And I almost dread getting asked to make a man’s card. But this time round I thought about making one without waiting to be put on the spot, I am not sure who this card will go to but I will keep it on hand till the right person comes along . This is a set I have used very little so I pulled it out and set to work. I love the colours in this card my kind of colours .
I started with a A5 Crumb Cake base, I stamped every single stamp onto it using crumb cake ink, You wont see a lot of the stamping once your layers are on. I cut a strip of Early espresso at 3cn x 10.4cm and added to my base.
Next I stamped the ship image from the Beware Pirates stamp set onto a piece of Basic grey card measuring 8cm x 8cm. The image was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed in white powder. Next tear a piece of Cajun craze card to go all around the grey layer, I cannot measure this as I did by eye, it doesn't need to be perfect. Stamp and ink to your heart’s content and add a tiny strip of More mustard card under the Cajun layer for extra added interest. Glue everything down making sure you add a generous helping of scrunching and curling of the edges.
Stamp sentiment onto a strip of crumb cake and add to your card after you performed the above ageing techniques. A tiny strip of twill ribbon was inked and added to the card plus a espresso button. All done and I am pleased with it, although I won’t be making another one any time soon as I had ink all the way to my elbows but the time I finished with it .
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Early Espresso, More Mustard, Crumb cake and Cajun Craze
INK: Versamark, Crumb cake, Early espresso
STAMPS: Beware Pirates, Party this way
TOOLS: my fingernails
ACCESSORIES: twill tape, button
Hope you like my inky attempt thank you for your support, till next time big Hugs xxx

Because I Care and a new colour for me
Hello there hope you had a great weekend!! I am sharing a card I have recently made for a dear friend who’s undergone an operation on her shoulder. Carol adores the hydrangea head from the Because I care hostess stamp set and I knew I wanted to use that plus the sentiment was perfect too. I tried a new colour with this card as well Pacific Point. I am not a fan of blues and this strong blue wasn’t on my radar but I am converted, is funny that isn’t it? how you don’t think you would like something until you try it.
I used the same stamp to stamp a background onto my A5 Pacific Point card base. I then cut a panel in Soft Suede measuring 8.5cm x 12cm. Next a slightly smaller panel in vanilla measuring 7cm x 11cm was inked using crumb cake and soft suede, the music notes wheel has been stamped all over very faintly.
I took the hydrangea image and stamped it in black then I coloured it using my markers. I used bashful blue, pacific point, tempting turquoise and baja breeze, for the leaves I have sued river rock and always artichoke. The sentiment was stamped in suede and punched out using the Large Oval punch. this has been sponged as well. I took some espresso satin ribbon and pleated it alongside the panel using a strip of sticky strip. And that is it simple to make but very striking. Here’s a close up for you to see the colouring closer, I used a white pen to add some highlights into the centre of the flower heads.
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Pacific Point, Soft Suede and very vanilla card
INK: Basic Black , and markers in bashful blue, pacific point, tempting turquoise, baja breeze, river rock and always artichoke
STAMPS: Because I care
TOOLS: Eyelet border punch,
ACCESSORIES:early espresso satin ribbon
Thank you so much for joining me, see you again soon. Till then hugs xxx

Sew Lovely Birthday in Mambo
Woohoooo today I have a dear friend who celebrates her birthday and this is the card I have made and sent her.
Once again the Sew lovely/ Sew Sweet stamp set from the mini catalogue from Stampin’ Up! has won my heart and decided to use it for todays card.
I love the bright feel of this card. I have started with a A5 card blank in Basic Gray. I used the bobbin from the set to add a tone on tone pattern to the top half of the blank. Next I took a piece of Melon mambo card measuring 9cm x 10.5cm added a scallop border on both sides and ran it through the Vintage wallpaper embossing folder and the Big Shot.
A strip of Daffodil delight ribbon was edged with the same scallop punch and offset behind the first row, this created a really nice visual effect.
For the main panel I took some old olive card cut at 6.5cm x 6.5cm then a whisper white panel cut at 6cm x 6cm. I stamped and pieced the sewing machine and using a ruler and the mambo marker pen a drew my cotton around it. I cut a slit at the bottom of the machine big enough to allow me to thread some white satin ribbon through. Before I adhere it to the back I stamped my sentiment on it in black ink. Now if you tried stamping onto your ribbon and all you got was a mess you want to spray your ribbon with some hair spray before you attempt stamping onto it, it works like a dream . You do need to let the hairspray dry first though.
I used some scraps to stamp the manikins on cut them out and popped them to the side of my focal panel. Finished off with a old olive narrow grosgrain bow.
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Basic Gray, Melon mambo, Old Olive and whisper white cardstock, Daffodil Delight Designer paper from the Brights stack
INK: Basic Black ink
STAMPS: Sew Lovely, Party this way
TOOLS: Scallop Border Punch ,
ACCESSORIES: rhinestones, white satin ribbon, and old olive narrow grosgrain ribbon

Hellooo today is happy day, Bekka my friend and dear Passionette is celebrating her happy day today!! Happy birthday Bekka hope you’re enjoying a fab day!!
Bekka loves Marina Mist and I used it here paired with Wild wasabi and Perfect Plum. I have chose to use the greenhouse garden stamp set from the Stampin’Up main catalogue as is been a while since I gave it some inky love.
The wasabi layer has been stamped with wasabi ink for a subtle background and some of the flowers were stamped directly onto my white layer and some were stamped, hand cut and mounted on dimensionals.
You can see it better in this shot.
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Wild Wasabi, Perfect plum and whisper white card stock, Marina Mist Designer paper from the Subtles stack

Cut Marina Mist dsp at 6.5cm x 15cm and add to the scalloped white layer then onto the card blank. Tie a bow in marina mist satin ribbon.
Cut the scallop circle in perfect plum card and cut a slightly smaller circle in white. Stamp some of the flowers straight onto the white layer and stamp some more separately cut out and mount of 3 d dimensionals. Stamp you’re sentiment and you’re done.

Just Believe in Elegant Eggplant
Helllooo TGIF!!! I hope you have some fun things planned for this weekend even if the weather is not the best. I am spending it with my favourite people in the world, hubby and my sister’s family. I cannot wait !!!
Today I have a card that I wanted to make ever since my friend Sally made this card at my house (scroll down a bit).
So I finally managed to get into it and have it made.
I chose to work with the Just Believe stamp set form the main Stampin’Up! catalogue, this is a great set with lots of images perfect for so many occasions. And yes you will notice that I have used the itty bitty punch again *sigh*.
I have also used the music wheel to add some background to my card blank and scrunched up some crumb cake seam binding , I love how this ribbon can look fairly elegant one second or shabby in the next.
The Vanilla panel was sponged with crumb cake and soft suede ink and I lightly over stamped the edges of the panel using the stamp off stamp on technique. You ink the stamp well then stamp on a piece of scrap paper first then onto your card.
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Elegant eggplant, soft suede, very vanilla card stock
INK: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Elegant eggplant
STAMPS: Just believe and music notes wheel
TOOLS: Decorative Label punch, itty bitty punch, sponge daubers
ACCESSORIES: pearls and crumb cake seam binding.
Measurements :
A5 card base in elegant eggplant, sponged in eggplant ink and overstamped with the music notes wheel in the same colour. Add 50 cm of seam binding tie into a long bow spritz with water and scrunch in your hands.
Soft Suede panel cut at 7cm x 13cm inked in soft suede
Very Vanilla panel cut at 6.5cm x 12.5cm inked in crumb cake and soft suede and overstamped like explained above.
Stamp main image in soft suede in the centre of your sponged panel and add the itty bitty flowers in eggplant. Top the centres with tiny pearls.
Stamp the frame and add your sentiment then cut out and place onto a decorative label shape punch in soft suede .
Add the main panel to the card then add your sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by hope you liked my card today come back tomorrow till then big hugs xxx

Funky Four with Video
I am sharing a very sweet card today, this is a set i bought last October and NEVER used . I know my bad while i totally love it is a bit to small for my liking and found it hard to make it work, until recently that is . Here’s is the card in question.
I adore the combination and is been inspired by Vicky a fellow US demo. I follow Vicky’s gorgeous blog and as soon as I saw this card I knew I wanted to used that combo. However by the time I got to make it I remembered it wrong but I am still delighted with the colours I have used, they work really well I think.
I have used Crumb Cake, Poppy parade and So Saffron.
Here’s the sweet little flowers a little bit closer.
I will not give you a list of supplies but instead I will let you watch a video of it.
See you tomorrow with a different project, thank you for stopping by to visit me till next time BIG HUGS xxx
ETA: Sorry but I am having difficulties uploading the video please bear with me. Thank you

I am enjoying my full time demo status although is been a bit hectic this first week so I am looking forward getting into a routine. I am sharing a simple thank you card today. Last week working with night of navy inspired me to try another card. I love orange paired with navy and crisp white and that’s what I did for my card today.
Not much to it and I wish I stamped the sentiment a bit more to the right. I love this bitty punch here’s a close up to the flower heads.

PAPER: Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper white card stock, Night of Navy Designer paper stack
INK: Night of Navy and Versamark
STAMPS: Baroque Motifs, Thank you kindly

Nature Walk colouring
I had a fab day yesterday one of my team members travelled up my neck of the woods to see a friend and once I found out she was up here I invited her and her friend over for a little crafty rendezvous. A quick phone call to one of my local team member quickly ensured there was 4 of us. The girls made the class I taught the previous day(it was easy as it meant I didnt have to think of anything at the last minute and it saved me from unpacking straight after the class on Sunday).
And I started on a card that took me an age to make.
I saw a inspiration picture on my blog travels recently and it had this beautifully coloured bird I kept it in order to try and recreate the same look, it was a lot harder and I ended up with a flock of birds all sporting different coloured feathers. I had to stop in the end and settled for the one that looked half decent but I am actually pleased with it. The stamp set is called Nature Walk from Stampin’Up!’s mini catalogue. I used confetti cream card stock and stamped in basic black and coloured using a combination of reinkers and markers. All done with the aquabrush. Colours used were Marina Mist, More mustard and Soft Suede. Here’s a close up for you warts and all *wink*
Is far from perfect but I had fun doing it well for the first 5 anyway The layout is a very simple one and it involved mainly designer paper.
Here’s the supply list: All products Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Early Espresso, More Mustard and Confetti card stock, Botanical Gazzette Designer paper
INK: Basic Black pad, reinkers in marina mist soft Suede and More Mustard
STAMPS: Nature Walk, Curly Cute, Medallion background
TOOLS: Decorative Label punch,
ACCESSORIES: Espresso Button, Marina Mist satin ribbon.
For the measurements not much there really as I cut all my dsp at 10.5cm wide and I layered different widths of different papers tearing them and curling them.
The sprig stamp has been coloured with markers and cut out then positioned over the ruffled ribbon.
I topped it with a button then made a little embossed circle of card to go on top of this, you might be seeing that better in the top picture.
Hope you like my card and thank you for visiting.
See you again soon, till next time hugs xxx

Wedding Wheels and..CAKE
It turned out great though and the bride and groom were delighted with it.
Top tier fruit cake which will be kept for the couple’s first child Christening, a nice tradition. Second tier from the top a layer of luscious lemon cake and this is just fabulous a moist and tangy cake, very fresh my favourite ever. Then third tier a brownie like chocolate truffle cake, again melt in the mouth not need a cup a tea with it type of cake. And the biggest layer was polystyrene, by far the tastier option out them all LOL and calorie free>
I dislike seeing small wedding cakes, to me the cake should be tall and grab attention and make a statement! Photographs look much better if the cake is taller etc. etc. but most weddings do not need layers and layers of cake, and of course the bigger the cake the bigger the price tag. So with this in mind I talk everyone into faking it for the sake of the above reasons. Now a days you really can have it all, you can indeed have YOUR CAKE and EAT IT !!
Here’s a close up of the detail, it was hard work and took me hours to do I am definitely rusty as I am not making them as often as I used to.
I did the fresh flower posies as well
And here’s the card I made for the couple. I really didn’t want to see or make another cake after the real one LOL so I have mounted the single A la Carte stamp from the Stampin Up mini catalogue called Wedding Wheels and set to work.
Is a very unusual combo for me but the wedding was held in a very pretty and traditional English Garden inside the most beautiful and luxurious marquee I have ever seen so green sprung to mind for this reason.
I love the retro feel of the stamp image and for some reason I wanted to frame it so the Notably Ornate stamp set provided me with a very ornate frame and I love the effect. The black injects some drama and makes the card look very crisp. Basic Phrases set was used for the sentiment, here’s a close up.
Supplies: all Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated.
PAPER: Basic Black, Pear Pizzaz and Whisper white card stock, Hostess Level 1 Designer paper stack in Pear pizzaz
INK: Basic Black and Pear Pizzaz
STAMPS: Wedding Wheels, Basic Phrases, Notably Ornate
TOOLS: Big Shot, Vinatge wallpaper embossing folder, scallop oval punch, large oval punch, word window punch
ACCESSORIES: rhinestones, white satin ribbon
Measurements:
Basic Black card base 15cm x 15cm.
The designer paper measure 14cm x 14cm. Take a strip of Black card stock and cut at 14cm x 7cm. Take a piece of Pear card stock measuring 6.5cm x 14cm and emboss using the vintage wallpaper folder and the big shot.
Stamp the frame in black and using the Stamp a ma jig position the wedding couple inside the frame. Cut the frame out then add a layer of black card behind that.
Stamp the sentiment then punch it out with the word window punch. Next punch a layer of pear card using the large oval punch and adhere to a black scallop shape. Add the sentiment on top and add two rhinestones at each end before positioning on the card.
Thank you so much for joining me I will see you again soon. Till next time hugs xxx

Broadsheet Alpha BIG THANK YOU
This is the tall order I have on my hands!! I have to try and recreate this beauty. I love it!! very elegant and delicate, the bride choose pink hydrangeas instead for the top and hopefully I will have a photo or two to show you once I finished it. Wish me luck for tomorrow piping by hand all that intricate design eeks!!
Today I am sharing a BIG THANK YOU card that I made for all my old colleagues I have worked with. They gave me such wonderful gifts on my last day and I was very sad to leave them especially when reading all their sweet messages in my hand made card made by the lovely Ali. I miss them already !!!
It’s bright and bold and it uses my favourite Alphabet set from Stampin’Up! the versatile Broadsheet. this card came together quickly but it evolved from what i had in my head when I first set to work on it. I was clear on the bold and colourful message but not on the rest and the layered ruffles come later as a result of me wanting to incorporate all the colours used in my message. I love the layered scalloped edges. And you can see a close up of the message
I stamped it freehand and is not perfect but I didn’t wasn’t after the perfect look, I wanted it to be a bit fluid.
Supplies: All Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated

Sew Lovely in Daffodil
Hello there how are you? I feel a bit sad today watching the news and hearing all about the riots happening in our country. If you are in the middle of these please keep safe and lets hope our wonderful police force will put a stop to it soon.
Let’s move onto some happier things. Claire my downline has set a colour challenge on ILWS a forum where demonstrators gather. She chose Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and Old Olive. I am also entering this card in the SoShelli Creative Challenge. Now I had a bit of tough road with this as those colours are all strong colours and it takes a bit of thinking to make them work. here’s my effort
I wanted to use the Scallop circle die and initially envisaged a round card but I changed my mind and settled on a twisted easel card.
I have swapped my colours and cut 12 circles before I finally decided on this LOL.
The Sew Lovely (Sew Sweet) stamp set can be found in Stampin’Up! s Mini Catalogue and I have used it a lot so far, is trendy and suitable for more than just sewing friends.
I paper pieced the manikins using the wonderful designer paper stack and chose the dotty side surprise , surprise .
The measuring tape stamp has been stamped straight onto some daffodil delight grosgrain ribbon for a fun element and small flowers have been punched out using the itty bitty punch pack.
Supplies: all Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated
PAPER: Old olive, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight card stock, Designer paper stack
INK: Basic Black
STAMPS: Hopeful Thoughts, Sew Lovely
TOOLS: Big Shot, Scallop Circle die, 3/4” circle punch, crop o dile
ACCESSORIES: Itty Bitty punch, Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon, pearls, buttons
I have a video tutorial for the twisted Easel card HERE if you have not seen one of these yet or would like to make one yourself.
Thank you for visiting today till next time hugs xxx

Artistic Etchings- Shutter Card
I spent the bestest few days with one of my good friends Moira a demonstrator from France. She stayed with us for a few days and we crafted till the wee hours of the morning indulged in midnight feasts drank a few bottles of fizzy and had a really great time and she enabled me to a Thermomix (I NEED one now do you have one? let me know if you do), and I am so missing her today. I absolutely loved having her here and I cannot wait till I fly to France to craft in her lovely room. I haven’t got any pictures at all would you believe it? we were so busy working on a very special project that I will share with you later along with the disaster that couldn’t be averted, and didn’t took one photo at all.
Anyway enough blah blah I am sharing a commission I had to make for someone, a 21 Birthday card.
I am not good with personalizing cards but needs must and all that and this is what I ended up with.
Is a Shutter card and I have to admit the first one I have ever made , I know I must be the last crafter in the land to attempt one of these. I love and admire all the intricate fold cards but not really interested in making them. I always think they are fiddly to do and shy away from them, well I was wrong again as this was way easier that it looked .
I have used the gorgeous Artistic Etchings stamp set from the main Stampin’Up! catalogue and the Love letter designer paper collection. They go together really well and were an obvious choice for a not to girly 21 year old.
Here’s a Birdseye view
I won’t provide directions and measurements as you can easily find dozens of tutorials online just search for shutter cards.
I have also made a display box inspired by my wonderful and talented friend Jenny Moors.
Supplies: all Stampin’Up! unless otherwise stated
PAPER: Basic Black, Riding hood Red and Very Vanilla card stock, Love letter designer paper
INK: Basic Black, Riding hood Red
STAMPS: Artistic Etchings, Broadsheet Alpha, Sincere Salutations, Just Perfect Alphabet
TOOLS: 11/4” , 1 3/8” circle, Large Oval Large Scallop Oval, Extra Large flower punches
ACCESSORIES: Basic Black taffeta ribbon, Rhinestones, Filigree brads.
Right I am off tomorrow is my first day as a Full Time Stampin’Up! demonstrator , I cannot wait!! you watch I will still be in my pj’s by 2pm LOL>
See you again soon till then hugs xx
